So what are the likely injuries?

Dislocation? AC sprain? Could still be long term injuries or short term.

However no broken bones is obviously good news.

Bruise hopefully.

One positive from all of this is both our young QBs are getting valuable reps in the regular season.

Just some info

How long does it take to heal a sprained shoulder?

If you have a Grade II sprain, your discomfort should lessen within two weeks, but it may take as long as six to eight weeks before you can return to your usual athletic activities. People with Grade III shoulder sprains often return to work within four weeks.

So if grade 3 there is a chance he can play in week 4 cause athletes are different. If Grade 2 then we won't see him again. Assuming this is the injury of course. It is just 1 of a few options.

And Mallet is out of the question too (Ravens) and so is Cassell (Titans)

Pretty remarkable that all of our recent backups still have jobs in the league, particularly Hoyer and Cassel. Great development by the Patriots.

AC joint sprains are not season ending, often can return to same game. However, when throwing shoulder on QB, tough task to return today.

Relax he will be ready for thursday
How many whiskey and waters did Chao guzzle down before that analysis?

The only positive is that reinforcements are on the way.

And it's going to be a humongous learning experience. You can't hang forever in the pocket and take such punishing hits from dirty players like Donkey Kong.

Some info then

How long does it take for an AC joint to heal?

The patient is allowed to return to sports when there is full and painless range of motion, no more tenderness when the AC joint is touched, and manual traction does not cause pain. This usually takes about 2 weeks for a grade I injury, 6 weeks for a grade II injury, and up to 12 weeks for a grade III injury.

So if Grade 1 (or slightly below grade 1) he can likely be ready for week 4.

Hopefully not serious, but is Stork an option?

plenty of things besides bone that can go wrong with a w=shoulder. But, my first thought was a Romo collarbone type injury.

The hit was as clean it gets. He fell down improperly, as he tried to soften his falling with his arm. That's a horrible decision, cause there were another 200-somethinh homungus hanging onto you.

It's football, getting hurt is bound to happen

I think Gronk was scheduled to be back for Thurs. But now with Brissette at the helm, his return might be postponed.

Don't think it means anything. If he can go, he'll go. If he can't, he won't.
