Looks like the Democrats want to go after the NFL but the majority is fighting it. Congressmen Joseph Kennedy from MA and Peter Welch from VT are on the committee. The best way to influence this is to write to them if you are a constituent or live in either state.

Otherwise this is just a "Show Study" to "show" that they were responsive and it's going nowhere in a hurry.

As much as I'd love to see some sort of justice for the NFL's transgressions... I doubt anything will come of this. It seems that the NFL is now above reproach.

It is more probable than not, that the NFL will 'donate' to some re-election funds and the investigation will go nowhere. For a larger donation, the congressmen will award the Gold Metal to Goodell's for his integrity.

Kinda makes sense, at least politically. If you're a congressman out of SEC territory or texas, appearing anti-football has to be political suicide.
