Keshawn Martin Injured or Not?

I agree, it does strike me as a little bit odd. Of all four of our guys Hogan, Edelman, Amendola and Mitchell, only Hogan appears to be fully healthy - - and even he was dinged with a shoulder issue somewhat recently.

I have to imagine McDaniels will feature Gronk, Bennett, Derby/Harbor, plus Foster and White in the pass game. That may actually be smart... 3 TEs, plus White (or Blount) and Foster on the left and right of Jimmy. You could run the no-huddle out of this set and keep the RBs in for pass pro to pass to the TEs, or split everyone out and go 5-wide, or keep everyone in and go power run to Foster or Blount...
Are you suggesting we will line up in a 3 TE 2 RB no WR set? consistently?

K Martin for a guy who didn't amount to much of a Receiver made some decent $$$$. I wouldn't go out of the way to sign him prefer they look for others.

Wasn't saying consistently, just saying we could see it used.

I could see 3 TE and no WRs in a goalline situation but it sounded like you were considering it to be a passing formation.

3-TE sets were used as the main look on some drives last season. Do you recall the pass/run mix? I don't.

there have always been times when we add the 3rd TE, usually an OL to run the ball but never as anything other than gimmick and certainly not 3 TE 2 rb and 0 wr. Especially as a passing formation as suggested.

Well, it's been done for whole drives.

And I do agree that it would be 3 TE/1 WR/1 RB except very situationally. Further, all 3 TEs would have to be clearly better receivers than Develin, or else a 22 set -- i.e. RB/FB/TE1/TE2/WR -- would be more appealing.

Once Martin gets healthy, I could see him being brought back depending on other injuries and stuff. He was a solid contributor and could get better and Brady seems to like him.

I was surprised by his cut...given they only have 4 WRs right now
Agreed - especially with Dobson failing to establish himself... Again. The beneficiary of these two cuts appear to be Clay Harbor, who didn't make a great case for himself either but made the cuts. It wouldn't be surprising if he gets booted after a few games though as he might be the first guy on the chopping block.
