Brady starting and Jimmy not expected to play vs Giants

Only challenge is this team has 2 #1 QB's, one for games 1-4, and one for beyond.

That's it in a nutshell. There's no perfect answer, but if I had to make the call I probably would have chosen this option too.

I would have played JG behind the second-string O-line, but with as many of the backs/receivers he'll be throwing to in weeks 1-4 as possible, my reasoning being that he was clearly not in game-sync with them last week, so that time would be valuable. Of course, if the second-string O-line looked as if it couldn't protect him, I'd get him out straight away.

So it's me and the MCI versus Bill Belichick. Hmm ...

media is just going nuts with jimmy needing reps after his performance vs carolina. As if getting reps vs 3rd string giants team will make him better. Bottomline, they are reading too much into jimmy's 3rd preseason game performance or catering to nutty fans who will eat up this stuff on radio.this inspite BB saying preseason game #3 has nothing close with the regular season.

You can say the very same thing regarding injuries. We don't want Garropolo getting hurt in game four.

I understand it would be nice to have JG go out there for a series or two and hopefully have a good drive and regain some confidence after a rough game against the Panthers.

I'm fine with the move tonight though so long as Brady only plays like two series and Brissett does the rest.

As I recall, the last time Brady played in a game 4 exhibition, the Patriots went to the Super Bowl.

I have to say I'm a bit surprised. For the first 10 years of his career, Brady would always play at least one series in the 4rh pre-season game. Now its like it is written in stone that your starting QB can't play in the last preseason game. I don't get it.

The Bridgewater incident proves that players can get hurt anywhere, any time. JG NEEDS the work. He needs every live snap he can get. I was hoping he'd see at least 3 series in this game. But that's just my uneducated position

That being said, I'm fine with Brady getting snaps as well. He ALSO needs every live snap he can get. I felt that he too should get at least 3 series tonight. Now maybe he'll get 4 or 5. None of that is bad.

Tom Brady has reportedly stapled his hand by mistake while trying to show teammates how to make a staple gun out of a regular stapler. Last seen in street clothes catching a ride back to Boston, Jimmy G to start the game.

Teddy Bridgewater just lost at least a year of his career to a non-contact injury in practice. Worrying about Brady taking a series or two in the final exhibition game before his suspension is the sort of idiocy, in that context, that should be left to the Felgers of the world.

Who the hell knows--these last games are always a bit of a mess. Definitely wouldn't have guessed JG wouldn't play, but I can't say it'll make much difference ultimately.
