Harrison is only 7th?

Three years ago Harrison would have been top three if not number one.

Where is Ed Reed?

They picked BOB "I'm a midget" Sanders over Ed Reed. What a joke.

Sanders is a good player and a good hitter, but he's not better than Reed. Heck, I am surprised that Peppers was on that list, in all honesty.

Sean Taylor #1... jesus, what a sh*t list. And where's Urlacher?

Rodney Harrison is #1 on another list I can think of.

Rodney's played so sparingly the last couple years I dont think he deserves to be on the list.
Merriman
Jamal Williams
Roy Williams
Adalius Thomas
Sean Taylor
Bob Sanders
Adrian Wilson
Clint Ingram
Jared Allen
Demarcus Ware

I think this is more of a list of guys with a rep for hitting spectacularly and is all relative. I bet if you asked any running back or receiver what they think, they'd probably tell you that all defenders in the NFL hit really hard.
One of the reasons there are so few Linemen on the list is that they rarely get those spectacular "highlight" hits. Safeties' hits stand out, because they have so many solo tackles. I bet it still really hurts when you get crushed at the line though.

No no, Rodney is the dirty hitter, not I.

I herd today that during his stint with the Chargers, he racked up over $200,000 in fine money. What a prick, I hope he gets injured.

troll.......... herd? what are you, cattle?

One of those stories that look good in print, but have no overall value, how do you quantify a "hitter" or better still how do you quantify who is a better "hitter", the loudness of impact or maybe how it shows on TV? It is what it is something done to sell magazines that appeals to a wide range of sports fans.

The best way is to ask their peers. There were certainly guys in high school that I would hope I didn't have to go up against in the hitting drills.

That makes sense, but OTOH did you ever pay off your bet???

Ahh... Just couldn't help but spam the thread eh? That's too bad, I thought we were actually going to get something accomplished here.

Yeah, exactly. As I said in my previous post, I bet everyone in the NFL hits with pretty much the same ferocity.

But you are #1 on the Charity-Robbing Hard-Hitting List.

that's something to be very proud of, take a bow.
