These figures show JUST how idiotic practice stats are. If they meant ANYTHING you'd have to conclude that the Bears' offense is a juggernaut and the Pats defense sucks and the Bears have far and away the best QB duo. But what do I know. I can't wait to see what great football minds like Tanguay and Felger do with those stats. again.,

I know he's not an offensive fit, but damn if we could've got DGB for someone like Kline. I would've take him as developmental WR5. Immense talent but may be on his way to Dobson 2.0 anyway. Curious to see him in Philly.

Can we leave the acronyms to players who have established themselves, please?

My only real experience with Bears fans was down in NO in 85. They were great before the game and were great after it. Their team had kicked our butts and they were very complimentary to our team. Lots of fun. Maybe it's a generational thing?

Well, I've yet to have a bad experience at an NFL game (though I haven't been to that many!) but what impressed me particularly about the Bears fans was that a lot of them had travelled a long way to be at the game (not just from Chicago) and their loyalty to the team wasn't conditional on victory (just as well!) I particularly remember right at the end, when the Pats were up ... what, 50-23? -- a group of Af-Am Bears fans were sitting patiently waiting for the last snap when all of the people around them had cleared out. Respect!

Can't believe I missed TC practice today!

Patrick Chung one of the more impressive DBs in coverage. What a difference a couple seasons make.
His play is now commensurate with his draft position. NE is using him the way they tried in his first stint now. They eased him into it the past two seasons. He's now a very effective 3-down safety with ST's ability.

The CB situation is getting more interesting every day. What I've seen and heard about this kid is impressive, and I hope he continues to improve. Makes me wonder about the entire draft evaluation process at times when UDFAs like Butler and possibly LeBlanc make an impact on an NFL roster.

It's always interesting to see which UDFA is going to play his way onto the roster each season, and that's just one thing I love about the way BB works: there are no free passes around here; you have to earn it.
Certainly isn't an exact science. What I wonder and wish someone compiles stats for (if not already) is how many more UDFA's get a chance with NE vs. the rest of the league. That'd be pretty interesting to see.

Let's send Dobson to Philly for a year and see what happens. Or SF, if it was about Chip.

Yeah, well ... in the morning practice of two-a-days my high school sophomore year I slipped a vertebra in my freaking neck. Went through the whole afternoon practice with my head ****ed to one side. That night my dad took me to a chiropractor who snapped my neck back in place. I was back on the field the next morning. It's football: you do what you have to do.

That explains a lot

Sheard now is a bit concerning to me. He tweaked something in the game last Thursday. They briefly checked his lower leg, but if memory serves, he returned to the game. But he has now missed three straight...color me unhappy with that.

Yes, Jeffrey was booted yesterday after the scrap, he was just allowed to stay on the sideline. And today one of their DBs was booted after a late hit on Edelman.

That contradicts what was reported yesterday that Jeffery stayed out and continued reps..

I'd be all for "renting" him to Chip for a season at this rate. In all seriousness, maybe a change in scenery would revive him. Hell, maybe KC for one of their RB's? We need it and they could use a boost at WR.

Vollmer is beyond concerning to me now. Has he been on the practice field even once?

The Pats remind me of the huge body builder you see in the gym with the massive upper body and toothpick legs.

I'm hoping Solder and Vollmer are not starring as the toothpicks this season.

I dont know that much about European soccer, but one thing that always intrigued me was their built in mechanics to rent players to other teams. Thought that might be fun at the NFL level if a similar mechanic could be tweaked to work with American football.
