Yeah, seriously, in this day and age ...

Actually, there have been a ton of German international footballers with Polish names (Grabowski, Podolski, Klose, Libuda, etc., etc., etc.) The reason is that there was a huge amount of Polish immigration to the mining areas (particularly, the Ruhr) and that was football heartland.

Good game for the neutral. Credit to France, no shame to Germany.
