True - I remember reading some reports saying that Horford decided against Boston and was most likely about to sign back with Atlanta, when suddenly the next report pops up saying he agreed to terms with the Celtics.

Durant talks a lot about fandom and community, stuff like that... Would sort of run counter to that to go to Golden State which is filled with bandwagoners right now. Boston has the tradition he seems to seek.

Ultimately, GS would probably be the "easier" route to a title, but Durant's never struck me as the kind of guy who chooses the "easy" way...

Theoretically, and I think he is a smart man, doing it on the 4th, to announce you are going to the place that is the reason we have that holiday. Boston if it isn't OKC is the smartest choice. I have to believe his advisors are telling him that. If they aren't, then they are doing him a disservice. A true winner, would want to face off against Lebron during the year and in the postseason. OKC is at a huge advantage to have 2 meetings...especially the last word. I'm surprised San Antonio is not in the mix....I wouldn't be surprised he signed with them out of left field

Broussard was saying yesterday afternoon that Durant was "Blown AWAY" by the Clippers presentation and we know how THAT turned out hopefully he is as FOS this time.
