something tells me he's not going to do any jail time. Hes rich and famous, they get away with alot.

Martha Stewart...Leona Helmsley....John Gotti ...When the feds have you in their sights, look out because when they want to make an example and deter others, they do it...and even the rich and famous do serious jail time.

the resorts they stay in aren't so bad.

Can Culpepper fit in the Falcons Offense.. looks like a tight fit to me..

I laughed when Sal Pal said he wouldnt be indicted I mean it doesnt take much for an indictment and whats already public record is enough for that.

The Falcons have instantly became the team most likely to hear the following words in April 2008....

As the first pick in the 2008 draft,The Atlanta Falcons select.....

This is great news....well, as great as news can be in a story as sick and sad as this one. I hope this piece of **** does jail time and loses EVERYTHING.

Vick Indicted?????

NO!

CAN'T BE!

BUT...BUT...BUT..."sources" said he wasn't going to be....something isn't right here.....

I have never liked Vick as a player because I personally think he sucks bad and throws his team mates under the bus while ignoring HIS failures.

As a person? Couldn't have cared less one way or another..until is "jewelry storage" BS at the airport and spouting off to the press that the police believed him completely and said in no way was it for marijuana.

Police shockingly actually responded and said "NO, we just did declined to submit charges..for those that don't know Vick did not answer questions pertaining to the "water bottle" and there was a small amount of residue and marijuana, just not enought to test and be considered a "useable quantity", without testing it or admissions from Vick youcannot have charges for paraphernalia.

I cite this because it is the first in your face inclination that Vick does not consider himself responsible for his own actions. Hey you got away with it, let it go...no he has to try and pull the police into it because he figured like always they just don't defend themselves in the media...but they did. Of course it got VERY little print time and was glossed over since Vick is a media darling...if not a total media creation considering his actual play at QB.

Then the dog fighting. Many defended him by saying he was innocent even though the OVERWHELMING evidence known by the public and COMMON sense would leave any RATIONAL person to realize he was up to no good. Some even defended Portis...( For all you dog fight lovers..hint look for Portis across the ring from you, you sick f**ks)

Well the piper is looking to get paid now, it will be interesting to see how people defend him now...common sense didn't work with his defenders, I am putting money, color of skin and/or a vast conspieracy...

well..looks like he is going to be in BIG trouvle...and what will Goodell do now???

I still think this whole thing is ridiculous.

Good, I was listening to the girl on Sportscenter describe the charges in the indictment, Vick is a sick human being.

As someone, perhaps a defense lawyer, once noted, a DA could make a grand jury indict a ham sandwich. So don't count your jailbirds before they hatch. Let's try to allow due process to run its course; then, if Vick is convicted of knowing of, and permitting, dog-fighting on his property, may he be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Then may the NFL deal with him the way it should have dealt with a killer (allegedly) of human beings, Ray Lewis. Lewis holding the Lombardi Trophy one year later remains one of the most unjust events in the history of North American sports.

Amazingly sick bastards. What kind of culture foments this sort of evil?

The documents said the fights usually occurred late at night or in the early morning and would last several hours.
Before fights, participating dogs of the same sex would be weighed and bathed, according to the filings. Opposing dogs would be washed to remove any poison or narcotic placed on the dog's coat that could affect the other dog's performance.
Sometimes, dogs weren't fed to "make it more hungry for the other dog."
Fights would end when one dog died or with the surrender of the losing dog, which was sometimes put to death by drowning, strangulation, hanging, gun shot, electrocution or some other method, according to the documents.

Vick initially said he had no idea the property might have been used in a criminal enterprise and blamed family members for taking advantage of his generosity.
Vick has since declined to talk about the investigation.

In what way?

In the way that, once you look at the big picture, it establishes a very dangerous precedent that the system cannot live up to. I think he should be fined, and fined heavily. But when you start sending people to jail for dogfighting, as cruel a sport as it is, you're either on your way to full criminalization of animal endangerment in general, or very hypocritical. What if Vick bred dogs for consumption, would that be cruel enough grounds for indictment?

Edit: The indictment is strictly for animal fighting.
