Ageism! No Babe! No Capp!

This thread is so frustrating.... I mean how can anyone say ANYTHING other than the GOAT Mike Bishop. Did you not seem him dominate in NFL Europe? These Patriots "fans" need to learn about their team.
Are you sure you don't mean Rohan Davey?

the first QB= Butch Songin

This guy was the Jimmy Garappolo of the late '70's Pats.

Oh god. Everyone got all excited when he had a good start to his career then BOOM the roof caved in.

Wound up having a fairly long career as a backup.

Isnt he a Qb coach somewhere now?

Until you-know-who came along, my favorite Pats QB hands-down was...

One Ben Dreith call away from a potential 1976 dream finish.

Yup! That was a BS call. We got another chance to "Tuck" Raiders in.

C'mon now. What about Rohan Davey? He was the champ of the European league after all!

I remember watching an NFLE game where Davey's team (I believe it was the Berlin Thunder) was playing and some guys in the stands were holding up a sign that said "WHO NEEDS BRADY? WE HAVE DAVEY!"

SMH...

I must be old and/or nobody remembers my choice, Scott Secules (why would they!).

Although Tony E was a tempting choice.

ETA: Jim P does not belong on the list, IMO.

1) The only reason I remember Secules was he was the backup QB for the Pats on my Tecmo Super Bowl game on the Super NES. (The starter was Zolak.) Otherwise I don't think I've even seen him on a football card from that era.

2) No offense about Plunkett, I was doing this in a hurry this morning and just kinda grabbed every QB I could remember that wasn't all that successful during his time in NE.

Anyway, I love y'all. I did this a few years ago with a list of head coaches (with no Belichick, Parcells, Raymond Barry, Chuck Fairbanks or even Mike Holovak.) This time everyone caught on a lot quicker.

April Fool's has a special meaning to me as my grandfather, who was a real wiseacre (and probably where I got my own smarta** attitude from) was born on April 1, 1914.

It has to be Joe Kapp. The only one to play in Rose Bowl, SB & Grey Cup

How could Matt Cassell not be the clear choice?

He had a great record after stepping in for the fragile sixth rounder that usurped Bledsoe's rightful starting job - what starting QB ever lost his job due to injury anyway? And to a flash in the pan late round draft pick? Thank goodness he wasn't on that list!

IIRC Eason remains the only QB in history to start a Super Bowl and not complete a pass in the game.

What were the circumstances surrounding this? I don't remember.

Perfect April Fool's joke for this beloved Fan Base!!
TrueBeliever is a Joker. Wait a minute ..... that can't be right
We already have one of those ... Hmmmm

As for obscure "best" Pats qbs.....im going with Jim Murphy...had a couple camps in late 90s, but more importantly he sat a few seats over from me in US History to 1877 at Northeastern in 95 or 96! Lol.... Guy dominated the Yankee Conference

Damon Huard

Bob Bleier.

I can't believe there is no support for Mike Taliaferro
