Is Danny Amendola the next domino to fall?

There's actually a really good and interesting conversation to be had about blacks and whites, athletics, genetics, etc.

It's not happening in this thread, but there's one to be had.

There was a man who tried to go there once......

Hey moron I never complained once about amendola's play. And I never said I have a preference for what you described. I said he is one of the slower wide receivers in the nfl. And his market is much less than the WRs that were free agents. How anyone can dispute that he isn't slow for a wide receiver is bananas. .
OK "moron," here ya go: Amendola runs a 4.58 40. Edelman runs a 4.52. Gronk runs a 4.68. Keshawn Martin runs a 4.52, Brandon LaFell runs a 4.54. Does that settle things? For further comparative purposes: Brandon Marshall runs a 4.52 and Eric Decker runs a 4.54. Alshon Jeffery runs a blistering 4.48. Looks like pretty much the whole league is slow by your standards ... Eh, "moron"?

Wow you must be pretty plugged in to be able to recover fresh 2016 40 times for all of those guys. Because someone would have to be pretty dense to compare times taken at various different times from 2006-14 and think that's an absolute representation of their current level of speed. Also using 40 times as an end all be all to determine playing speed is pretty stupid too.

People, WTF is it about this thread?

I haven't opened this thread until today because I haven't really felt like reading or talking about Danny Amendola (solid, boring player is solid and boring to discuss). I gotta say, wow. Only seen the last page but there's been heated debate over race and 40 times somehow.

Are you watching the presidential debates?
*****ing about how people aren't getting a fair shake in life or targeted for crimes because of the color of their skin will never go away.

Suggesting those same people have a predisposed genetic superiority over whites is downright ignorant.

I'm sorry but he didn't do his fans any favors with that. I felt that way back then and still do.

You insisted Amendola is slow. You are wrong and I proved you wrong. It's OK to admit you're wrong when confronted with the facts. It's called "discernment." Try it.

You can say it as many times as you want. It doesn't make it true. Danny amendola is one of the slower receivers in the league as far as long speed goes. That is a fact. He's a very good slot receiver and has underrated athleticism when it comes to making contested catches/jump balls because he's tough and knows how to use his body. He also has very good agility in his routes. He's a good player and one of the best slot guys in the league.

There is no gene for race

This is misleading.

and no genetic support for your position.

This is false, though angle of perception is key.

I have no interest in taking part in this race-based discussion here (no way it won't be more problem than it's worth), but those who do should be careful to be as absolutely correct with their assertions as is possible.

That's what you're trying to do with the "slow white guy" argument you've tried to push and have been owned on.

Danny amendola is one of the slower receivers in the league as far as long speed goes.
Now you're trying to move the goalposts by qualifying it as "long" speed. Just stop. He runs in the 4.5s, which is standard NFL WR speed -- definitely not "slow," not exceptional. He's a good all-around WR with decent size, hands, speed, quickness and return ability. Speed is not a liability.

I don't understand why saying Danny is slow is grounds for the type ***** fit you are throwing on here.

I have no idea what "***** fit" refers to in my part of this discussion. Just showed how you're wrong and you keep responding with nothing. So I guess we're done. Or at least, I am. But hey -- at least we got through it without you lobbing negative ratings at me, so perhaps that's progress. Didn't appreciate being called "moron," though.
