He was fine. He is not a starter. He did not impact the game like LaFell did two years ago by making difficult catches and picking up first downs. He's a good 4th receiver, a mediocre 3rd receiver, and should not be a primary or secondary target, and given the current corps such a state of affairs is far from an impossibility. Unless you have the utmost blind faith in Aaron Dobson to finally emerge and Edelman and Amendola to play 16 games, this wide receiver depth is not sufficient.
Martin made a handful of big catches on third down I wouldnt sell him short he excels with our system and underneath routes actually made a couple deep plays and actually held on to the ball.
Hes not Marvin Jones but more than earned his money from us.

Was Amendola due a bonus today. Was he paid It?

Ya. And I know there are people saying "how can you fit all three"

McCourty: 85% snaps played
Chung: 81%
Harmon: 60%

Essentially you are upgrading over Harmon and then maybe it does cut into Chung's snaps a little but it's far from a "Madden Fantasy" type move in terms of fitting Weddle into the defense.

Yeah, even if the answer was "he's taking a bunch of snaps from Chung and Harmon", well... I'm fine with that because he's way better than either of those guys. I think the answer would end up being a lot more complex with that, and would involve the Pats throwing out a bunch of weird formations with all three of them that would fool opposing QBs, and that's what really intrigues me. But even if it was a simple direct upgrade over those two guys on a snap-by-snap basis, that's reasonably compelling in its own right.

The #Bears are signing CB Tracy Porter to a 3-year deal worth $16.5M, source said. He cashes in on his resurgence.

The guy had 24 catches last season. He's fine, but that doesn't mean there isn't a need for an upgrade at the position.

That's a little surprising to me, considering how last year went for him. I'm mildly surprised that anyone was willing to guarantee him anything. Looks like this will be his shot, though. If he can't carve out a starting role this year, I dunno what's left for him.

Bears agreed to terms with T Bobby Massie on a three-year contract.

Chargers have agreed on a three-year contract with former Indianapolis Colts safety Dwight Lowery.

That's not big money, and it's only for a year. I doubt the Rams sweated it for even a moment, given the amount of room they chopped off their cap not long ago.

he was the most solid WR after injuries stroke
he is not a big wo he is not the answer to the spot NE is obviously going for
but he is great to have him

Tyvon Branch is signing a two-year deal with Arizona worth $5M guaranteed, $10M max, a source confirms. @MikeGarafolo had it first.

Adam re signs with Colts. After next season he'll have spent more time in Indy than Foxborough. Jeese does the time fly...

Streater, Kearse, Matthews, Boldin - I'd be happy with 2 of those

I don't get the Streater hype on this board.. Guy has 14 catches in the last 2 years and was a healthy inactive for all but 1 game this past season.
