I'm really rooting for Osweiler to succeed for the Houston Former Patriots and make the Broncos look stupid, but I have a feeling Osweiler isn't actually very good.

Pats in contact with Boldin and Jones

Since we don't have firm numbers, I couldn't possible do that. Your question is, therefore, a dishonest one. However, your crack on others about "flashy" was ridiculous, given the Patriots FA history under BB.

Wont argue with you Deus. Even if I could have expressed my stance better, I think you know what I mean.

Is there any deal that is realistic that would make people here willing to trade Trade Garoppolo to Denver?
Emmanuel Sanders and a #1 or 2 #2 picks. Everyone else they have is too expensive to take on. But even that's probably not "realistic". I like Deus' Cleveland package for Gordon more.

Already with this stuff.
Oh that? That's been going on since like page 4.

$9 million a year for a running back? Holy cow.

EDIT: Terrible at math. $6.5 million....a little more reasonable.

Wasn't as crazy about Forte as some were. Looks like it's CJ Anderson or maybe Morris if they want a vet RB. Would be very happy with CJA and Kearse.

Wonder if they'd take a flyer on Lamar Miller @ 5/30.

It'll be interesting to see what Forte ends up getting from the Jets, because the only way it was going to be with the Pats was if he accepted a pretty huge discount. Ivory and Martin have set a value for the RB market that I'd only even consider paying for Lamar Miller.

If Forte's up in the $5M range, I'd rather take a flyer on someone else's castoff like we usually do.

That's been my evil plan....

Trade JAG to Cleveland in a package that gets Gordon
Sign Hoyer/Cassel as the backup

Profit

Also the opportunity to put a bit of shine of RG3 on a two year prove it deal and trade him during after week 4 or in off season

If I'm Brock I'm still salty Denver benched me for an even worse qb. That San Diego game he was made out to be the scapegoat

I was wicked pissed about Forte but then the Osweiler news made me so giddy that I forgot all about it. Haha sucks for you Denver

While I can't imagine Denver putting together that kind of package for Garoppolo, at this point they've gotta be desperate. Who knows what they'd be willing to pay. Still think that's too steep, but I'm sure the Pats will at least give it a shot on the off chance they can get a king's ransom.

My guess is we hear about a Blount deal in the next couple days (with the pats)

Elway is a dink but he's not an idiot unfortunately, I don't think we are gonna dupe him into some awful trade.

Yeah, they can have Sanu regardless of what the contract terms are. $7M per is ridiculous. Get Kearse and Boldin and bring in Weddle on defense and call it a day.
We still need a starting-caliber LG, a legitimate Swing Tackle, a Move TE, and RBs to replace the ineffective Blunt & the PUP-body Lewis.
