Lmao........he doesn't share the opinion of those who wanted to trade him in 2014 either.

I know but based on the FOTM, Kraft hung Brady out to dry....in the end, Brady is likely taking one for his team in the form of below market numbers....maybe he is spiting Kraft to 'show him how its done'

Also Brady was getting hit at a higher rate than any previous year in his career during those first 10 games, its just that they were able to overcome it.

Got hit 49 times in the first 10 games

Got hit 53 times in the first games of '14..

So that statement is false..

And he was throwing the ball more this season than last through the 1st 10 games so the rate is higher last year on a per drop back basis.

I think both Belichick and Brady love Kraft and love their roles in this franchise but that doesn't mean Kraft didn't f.ck up, and given that he apologized for it I would say even he agrees with that.

13,913 yards passes Manning's regular season yards record.
That's 3,478 yards/yr.

If he stays healthy, it will happen
He can even do it in 3, if he has no dropoff whatsoever

Manning also had neck surgeries, was taking HGH and doesn't have feeling in his finger tips..
I'm betting his scrotum/rectal area was fine since Gregg Doyal and Bob Kravitz monitored it for years.

Manning can have those records.

What's important is Brady's thumb is being left out of the party his other four fingers had. Something needs to be done about that.

absolutely.........but that doesn't stop the FOTM from continuing to complain about the best owner in football

Belichick has been the most successful GM in football since he took over the Patriots but that doesn't stop many here from crapping all over him and ripping his drafts year in and out. Its a fan messageboard and that's what people do. Some of it is ridiculous and some of it accurate, that's the nature of the beast. As far as Kraft goes I agree that he has been a great owner but he has a serious weakness when it comes to Goodell and putting the team ahead of his status among the owners and out has really hurt them on two major occasions. I would rather have him go rogue defending the franchise than be THE MAN WHO SAVED FOOTBALL, but to him the latter is more important imo.

Exactly. You can be the best in the world at something and still make mistakes. I'm sure if you sat down with BB over a beer or two he could rattle off his 10 biggest personnel mistakes in about 30 seconds. He is not beyond reproach and should never be immune to reasonable criticism.

Playing devil's advocate.......Most fan bases would kill for an owner who puts the team ahead of their own personal interests.

Also you can easily argue that Kraft's wimpyness has not hurt the team on the field.

I basically agree and I can't argue that his mistakes have hurt them on the field because I don't believe putting up a fight would have made any difference in terms of losing the picks, I think Goodell was going to f.:'k them either way. I still wish he had put up, the fight and I believe he should demand that the league provide them with all of Wells work product as he helped pay for it and there is absolutely nothing wrong with a demand for transparency in any and every league investigation.

Brady will certainly get a very big signing bonus and reduce his cap hit for this year. That's all we know.

That's reasonable to expect/hope. Haven't seen any facts yet.

Hooray! We are in it to win it for two more years! Suck it NFL!!!

Brady quietly works out this extension while Peyton apparently intends to go until the March 8 deadline on his future {sigh}. Retire or be released already. Brady was quoted he will play until he sucks, meaning if he had a season like Peyton's, he already would have moved on.

I tend to agree, but at the same time I'm guessing it would be pretty damn hard for Brady to walk away from the game if the team had an unsettled QB situation and they had just won the Super Bowl with a great defense. There's a lot of moving parts with the Bronco team that create a pretty weird situation:
1) Just won Super Bowl despite ****ty-to-average QB play
2) But that D looks like they'll have to shed some talent. Who? And how would paying Manning affect that?
3) Backup/presumptive 'heir' QB remains unsigned to contract
4) Even if they want Peyton back they probably can't afford $19m or whatever he's owed
5) If they don't believe in Osweiler enough to pay him starter money right now then letting Peyton play and looking to the draft for the next guy is possibly the right thing for them to do presuming he/they are both confident that his poor play was at least somewhat correlated to injuries that may not hamper him next season. I think Osweiler can run Kubiak's offense and his play in Manning's absence was exactly what you want from your backup, I'm just not sure if he's doing it at a much higher level than many other replacement-level QBs would or could.

I think/hope the Patriots are forward-thinking enough to avoid a similar situation but I would assume the Broncos are happy with the SB win vs. awkward/tough transition trade-off. Nonetheless, point being that I don't think it's quite a lock that Brady would have walked away based on one (injury-filled) season in which he played subpar but still won the Super Bowl.
