4 days out, the GFS and EURO are in agreement with a major snowstorm for the Northeast! This is the 18z snow map! This will change since we are four days out, but WOW, I have never seen a GFS snow map like this 4 days out. The Patriots should leave earlier for Denver to avoid this monster storm coming! Ohh and it looks like this AFC Championship game, there could be snow.

Weather.com for eastern Mass. says five to eight inches here on Saturday, less than an inch on Sunday. Doesn't look like that big a deal, although Pats might want to leave Friday to avoid a delay (if that isn't the plan already).

Meteorologists are very conservative this far out. Both the Euro and GFS are in agreement this far out is rare. This storm could be compared to the 96 storm. Once it gets closer, the mets and noaa will up their totals. This will be an all snow event for new england.

Seems strange that I've been getting most of my weather reports from patsfans.com the last few weeks!

Should I mention another possible snowstorm 3-4 days after this one?

**** knowing what the weather will likely be like next weekend now I really wish this was a home game

I know. This game could be played in 30 degrees with snow on the ground. Instead, we get 50 degrees and sun.

I hate that, it's exactly what happened in 2013.

As much as I love to see football games played in snow on TV, our offense can certainly benefit from a dry, fast track.

god, we should have home field...
it would be a demolition job.

I'd prefer the Pats already left just to try to get acclimated to that altitude. The earlier, the better IMO.

Not only the snow but they're showing winds 25-30 and to make it worst out of the east. Losing cable or power for the game would suck!

I agree. They have a better running game than us too so snow and rain might benefit them. Dry and cold is what we need but the cold part is not gonna happen according to the early reports.

From what I've read the plan is for them to leave Friday morning. No practice until Wed. then maybe a walkthrough before they leave.

Sigh.......

It takes about 3-6 weeks to get acclimated to the Denver altitude, so leaving a day early won't help them in that regard. In fact, leaving a day early would probably do more harm than good, as dehydration and acute altitude sickness symptoms take about 24-48 hours to develop after arrival at altitude. At least that's what I've read in running magazines.

Yeah, a day early doesn't help much. It took about 3 weeks for me to acclimate to the 5,000ft elevation here in Arizona. My run times didn't get back to their normal state until 4 weeks in.

The weather in Denver isn't a huge factor because Manning is limited regardless. Still, colder would be better.
