It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Being realistic is fine....Hey, I put my money where my mouth is every year. I go to watch the games win or lose, that doesn't mean that I expect them to win every game. In fact, I prefer to go to the games I feel they could lose.
The over the top homerism is for the young and idealistic.
First of all no one is calling for Belichick and Brady to be gone. The concern is that Brady is hurt. He is injured. That is a fact you can't avoid that will hurt our chances. He will play, but he may not be effective enough with the other issues around him. So if the Patriots lose in 2 weeks will you apologize?
We might as well be the number 1 seed cause Denver isn't winning a playoff game. Not Pitt, KC, or Cincinnati
Last year you said that Belichick was responsible for their "streaming pile of crap team."
Remind us when you retracted that?
He was responsible for that, the team was terrible in the first 5 games, do you disagree? We can only comment on the body of work we have seen.
Well, it would be hard to argue with Curran's point here, as many have mentioned.
Either play to win the game by using Brady/Gronk/Amendola, or shelve them and play conservatively. Trying bits and pieces of both failed miserably.
Agree completely. I was wondering why Garrapolo want in of they were going to play for mixed results; shorten the game, practice the run game, amps any more big injuries, and oh yeah, try to win the game. It was incoherent and only helped in a couple of ways. He won't admit it but staying healthy was their goal and they were moderately successful in that regard.
I think Belichick was fine with the two seed because if Denver draws Pitt he either gets Manning in Denver , or Pitt in NE, and I think going to Denver is the easiest route.
My best guess is they get K.C. at home and that will be a really tough match for them. Smith doesn't turn the ball over and their defense is really solid and really good. The Patriots can best them but they will have to play a really good game. In the end I see a pissed off Brady putting up 30 and they get the win
You get 2 weeks to ***** and moan about how this team is one and done and IF they win the divisional, then they are certainly done in Denver...
The truth hurts, doesn't it Homie?
The season isn't five games and my question was whether you came back to acknowledge how wrong you were? The MO around this place is that the haters trash them anytime anything goes wrong, them they disappear when they go back to winning consistently, then they cheer them when the win it all but to them if they come up even a little bit short, then go right back to sh.tting all over them at the first sign of trouble. I'm f.cking sick of it and think that the haters should move on to a team that never loses because that's what they expect.
As I have said many times concerns are fine and so is criticism but the hating by the same people has grown old and tiresome and I'm going to rip on it when I see it.
The only truth you know it's what you read the so called homers writing. No one, and I mean absolutely no one knows less about football and is wrong more often than you are. Literally everything you write is complete garbage. This team couldn't win a high school game if it followed your lead.
The sad part is you really hope they lose. The truth hurts, doesn't it Homie?
Hyperbole is not just a pond in New Hampshire...(pretty sure there isn't one, but there should be one)
The part that he was responsible for the team is not what you were wrong about. Its your assessment of the team that missed by a galaxy and a half.He was responsible for that, the team was terrible in the first 5 games, do you disagree? We can only comment on the body of work we have seen.
I probably did acknowledge that I was wrong and very happy to be wrong. They smashed the Bengals and looked solid for the rest of the season.
This year is a different trend due to injuries. I am watching a team that is going in the wrong direction for the playoffs...that is not business as usual for the Patriots. I see a team that is afraid to throw the ball because the OL cannot stop anybody or even run the ball on a team that is 30th against the run.
Look, I hope that the Patriots figure it out, I think they will be as prepared as they possibly can be for the game next week. I will be at the game rooting for the Patriots. But, my confidence at this very moment in them winning that game? 50/50...i have no idea if they will win or not...Sorry to burst your bubble. This is the NFL, any team can win any game; and the Patriots OL has looked terrible for the last 6 games.
Well if your point is can you hope sure they have to win 3 games.
If the point is to be honest about where this team stands the likelihood of post season success after game 16 is the worst it's been in a very very long time for this team.
The offense hadn't looked this bad in many years, much less on the eve of the playoffs. We consistently expect the Patriots to have an edge in the playoffs because they prepare so that they peak in time for the playoffs. They have hit bottom in time for the playoffs this year. Isn't it pretty hypocritical to not be concerned and doubtful of this team?
