To be honest, I don't think it matters who they play. I've never seen a Patriot's team so set up to be one and done more than this team. It's not even the injuries anymore, this team has ZERO confidence. To play teams like Philly and Miami, who were getting KILLED by supposedly way less inferior teams than the Pats, and then to see the Pats lose easily to Philly and Miami, this team is done. Really is a shame, this team really had a chance to take it all, but injuries caused this team to lose games, and now lack of confidence has ended this team's chances.

I'd be shocked (pleasantly shocked) if this team wins a playoff game, but never has a Patriot's team that has won it all look this beatable, THIS LATE in the season. Belichick teams always dominate in December. This team can't even beat bad teams. Flame if you want, but I see this year's team as one and done. Just not good enough, especially losing 4 of their last 5.

It doesn't matter since they are already going to lose in Denver. Just ask any of those prescient doom-n-gloom prognosticators from the game-day thread.

I guess the fact this team is severely banged up to the point that they are having trouble putting 40 healthy guys out there is irrelevant though...

My 2 scenarios

1. Denver wins,

Pitt@Cincy-Cincy Wins
KC@Hou-KC wins
Cincy@NE-NE Wins
KC@Den-KC wins
KC@NE-NE Wins

2.Denver loses,KC wins

Pitts@KC-KC wins
Den@Hou-Den wins
KC@Cincy-KC wins
Den@NE-NE wins
KC@NE-NE wins

The Chiefs shouldnt be overlooked. Great pass rush and good secondary. Mobile QB who doesn't turn the ball over. No they are the hottest team in the NFL

I think they are a really tough match for the Patriots. Solid all around, don't turn it over, and that can get you in their game. That will be tight.

I like New England in the KC/Houston bracket for sure, but would also be confidant if Cincy wound up here.

denver's win or not to win?
home field or easier draw?

Broncos #1 seed, Patriots #2 seed.

Pats will now play either Cincy or winner of KC/Houston. Ideal scenario next week is Pittsburgh beats Cincy and Houston beats KC.

KC would be my choice to play against. Bengals has too many deep threats that our secondary cannot keep up with... IMO

Do we know when our Divisional game will be yet?

hmm there are no easy paths to the superbowl this year.

i think best option might be Cincy over Pitt, KC over Texans.

then play the bengals, then possibly kc at home.

Am I the only one who thinks Houston can beat KC? With their defense of course. But I've noticed a lot of inconsistency with KC. Plus they haven't won a playoff since Montana played for them. EDIT: I understand Houston hasn't exactly been exemplary in even making the playoffs I'm just saying KC just might have worse luck with the postseason.

I'm fairly confident the Steelers can win on Cincy, so in my honest opinion it very well could be down to the winner of KC/HOU.

One can only hope! lol

Usually announce it around halftime of the SNF game. But am hearing that looks like it will be the Sun 1pm game. This from a friend at WBZ

Quite honestly, both the WC teams (which will be KC and Pittsburgh once Denver wins) are playing way better than the #3 and #4 seeds. As pissed as I am about today's debacle, this does get us to avoid Pittsburgh in the divisional round.

True, but is it worth it if we have to go to mile high?

Honestly. The steelers are the only team in the wild card round that can beat Denver imo.

This might have worked out for us. Still though, give me jules, Jones and Hightower and I still think we should win in Denver anyway.

it doesn't matter who they play. if the oline can't play a lot better they are toast.
