Cool Link How Sebastian Vollmer got drafted

Great video. Thank you. (I watched the Super Bowl in Germany and they had Basti as the "sideline himbo". The broadcast was so cheesy and the game so painful that I had to watch without sound, though.)

What position do you *want* drafted first this year?

I wrote: "Though I'd never say "never" ..." No one thinks that Barkley was a poor draft choice (and the GMs who passed over Derrick Henry should be sacked). I'm in no position to say whether the Notre Dame guy is in the same class. But, in general, the drop-off from the best running backs in...

What position do you *want* drafted first this year?

Go best player available. When you're at the top of the draft order, you can draft for need (especially if those needs are as glaring as they were in the last two years). At the bottom of the draft it's a matter of finding a quality player. Though I'd never say "never", I'd be disappointed in a...

Today In Patriots History March 31: Happy 73rd birthday to Ernie Adams

Scott Pioli's interview with Edelman is also gold. This man is so smart and such a good communicator. Why he isn't running an NFL franchise when there are so many incompetents in charge, I can't think. EDIT: He also talks about Ernie. The story he tells is of how he realized what a great person...

Today In Patriots History March 31: Happy 73rd birthday to Ernie Adams

Thank you! The interview(s) with Edelman are fantastic, and they make it clear that EA is far from being a geek who can't relate to people -- on the contrary, he's shrewd and thoughtful about all aspects of the game. There is an excellent article about him (I don't know if it's in your links)...

JETS SUCK 2025 EDITION (OFFICIAL): DIVINE INTERVENTION DENIED

By all means feel sorry for the JETE, Ken (though perhaps not in this thread). But please don't forget: even when the JETE win THEY STILL SUCK.

PATRIOTS NEWS Pats hire Jonathan Decoster as new asst OL coach

Good lord! If you thought the O-line coaching was bad in 2025, what did you make of 2024?

    QB2 and QB3

The cap hit from cutting Dobbs is $1,050,000.

    QB2 and QB3

Very unimpressed at what I've seen of Dobbs. I don't think it's a good principle to pick your QB2 on the basis that he won't be a threat to the QB1 because he couldn't be a longterm NFL starter himself!

Poll: What are you willing to give up in a trade for a potential WR1?

So long as the Pats have Boutte, Hollins, Diggs and Douglas healthy and haven't lost faith in them, they should keep their powder dry. They're going to need it for a Tackle and an Edge Rusher. And, yes, RLKAG (maybe 2).

PATRIOTS NEWS Looks like the Pats are re-signing Chaisson

I think that the situation is: (1) If Landry retires because of injury, his remaining signing bonus hits the cap as dead money (although some can be postponed if he retires -- or is designated as retiring -- after 1 June). (2) If he has "guaranteed" salary (he does) then there is a question...

PATRIOTS NEWS Looks like the Pats are re-signing Chaisson

Now I'm completely baffled. What about "contiguous"? Or "fluorescent"? Or "buoy"? (Is that why you have to pronounce it "boo-ee"?)
