Fact is, they've lost 2 in a row in Miami and have not looked good in either game....if history tells us anything with this team they are consistent in situations in which they generally struggle (vs NYJ defense, away vs Denver, vs NYG anywhere, at Miami late season, vs Rex Ryan defense (aside from week 2 this season)...also, the Patriots are severely undermanned on offense and defense.
With no McCourty, Chung, Hightower, Ninkovich (likely) we'll see the same vanilla 4 man rush all day like we saw vs NYJ and whoever's playing quarterback will be throwing against a depleted secondary. And with a shorthanded offense we'll see the same struggles we've seen since Dion Lewis got hurt - bad on third downs, inability to run the ball, Brady throwing it away a lot, and Brady getting hit a lot.
This isn't to say they can't or won't win, the point is that people dismissing Miami haven't been watching football very long or they are blind to the way this team's been playing on offense lately. We've seen what can happen (Philadelphia game) if the Pats don't play a clean game in all three phases. If they spot Miami any points on special teams or defense, it's going to be a tough, tough haul. Sure, the defense has been good.
Additionally, there's steady to heavy rain in the forecast for Miami on Sunday. If anything is a mitigating factor when two unevenly matched teams meet it's definitely the weather....I would also argue that if it's going to rain Edelman and Amendola will not play on a slippery track so we'll have the Brandon Bolden/Keshawn Martin receving extraordinaire show again...
I'm ready for a nail biter, last possession wins game - everyone else should be as well...
You clearly haven't been watching Miami play the Last Few weeks. They can't score. Go ahead and worry all you want but with last week's players minus Vollmer and HT the Pats beat this team by 10+
I suspect we will see a lot of Action Jackson running down their throats enough for some nice PA passes to Martin, Gronk, White and Bolden.
