Lets add Vollmer to the pile: Week 17 Injury Watch

We must rest Hightower. We will be fine people. We will be fine. This season is like the one the Packers had in 2010.

Injuries on offense have reached critical mass. The hope is the D can get healthy and the O can get the VERY short passing game together when Edelman and Amendola return.

The OL was playing like crap with Vollmer healthy. Whether he comes back or not, if the OL doesn't turn it around, the Pat's chances of repeating are slim.

How do we feeel about a pre salary cap 49-7 dominating super bowl win when we get all our guys back?

AWWWW YEAHHHH

so next week rest amendola, hightower, and vollmer.

a lot of that was brady not having anyone to throw the ball to. brady and edelman/amendola make the OL look better than it really is.

Broncos need to take out our trash. Then I'd play Brady one drive and give it up to Aladdin. Guys need a break. Brady has taken a lot of hits.

I think Edelman gets open quicker than anyone in the game right now.

Judging by area of injury probably a high ankle sprain, probably grade 2... I bet he's available for AFCCG possibly and more likely the super bowl if they should get there. Worth waiting on him after seeing the **** show that was the O line today.

Seen this on twitter.

And not having Edelman and Amendola out there is the reason why.

I'm optimistic if the OL has Vollmer on it.

Edelman, Amendola, Gronk come back, and we have James White, Keyshawn Martin, Brandon Bolden and potentially even Steven Jackson getting valuable experience in their absence.

The oline is a product of the short passing game. This is the same starters we had beginning of the season when brady was getting the ball out in less than 2 seconds.

I think when you get edelman and amendola back it will cover up the oline

High ankles are bad injuries not really the same that season until you get into the offseason and get surgery/major time off. Anyone know how it tends to effect offensive lineman? Might be not as bad since theyre not the most fleet of foot anyway. My bet is Super Bowl

It doesn't matter who your receivers are if pass rushers are consistently getting through the line untouched. Obviously getting folks healthy will help, but if the OL doesn't improve, the Pat's chances are slim.

Hoping to hear some good news on Vollmer. If he's back in 3 -4 weeks, today will not bother me much. When Edelman and Amendola are back for our first playoff game I think that'll help us survive one or two playoff games even with a shaky OL. He probably needs to be back at some point if we want to repeat. Then again, with good coaching and Brady's pocket presense you never know[see: SB38].

If rushers weren't getting to Brady untouched consistently for most of the season, I would agree with you. Unfortunately, the Pats OL has been playing like garbage for a while. They don't have to be great if Brady get's his weapons back, but it won't make much difference if they continue to be turnstyles.

maybe vollmer is a big loss
but every game the team also wins somebody
jackson looked like he might be a big win
(with iosefa as FB to help with the run maybe?)
martin confirmed
every week some new nobody becoming a somebody ...
it's pretty great to look at the other pile

Corey Dillon ran the ball into the line sideways with one for half a season. I'm guessing, after a few weeks rest, that an OLineman will shoot it up and play. Unfortunate that he's a LT, though.
