Patriots waive RB Trey Williams

Probably did not help with him talking about Superbowls the same week our players took the Eagles for granted in light of comments made by LaFell before the game and stuff. It can be the case of it being too late for him to catch on at this point or the coaches feel he may need too much work on the areas they value in a RB.

At the time I thought was a problem as well. I hope that it was much more then that. And if it was...then how was it not discovered in the workout?

EDIT because WTF: let's sign more players and dump them right away and lose more CAP SPACE

I don't know, he just did not sound like a Patriots player at all. Even Talib knew how to stay inline. Not saying this was the reason for his cut, but it is an indication of his smarts. When you go to rome....

Patriots bring in Undrafted WR.... From the stats he seems interesting, excellent hands and 6'2".

Former UCF WR. Word on him is:

2014: 36 catches, 514 yards, 5 TDs. 17 punt returns, 9.8 yards per return. Tore ACL in November 2014.

Strengths: very good size. He was arguably UCF's most reliable receiver in his time. Has very good (but not great) speed for his size as well. Excellent at maintaining body position downfield and using his size to maximizeroom to make the catch. Returns kicks, too.

He might have had problems picking up the system

Some are overlooking that White may have out performed at practice, then White's catch performance vs Philly may have confirmed to BB that Trey's roster spot is more valuable used elsewhere (remember that Bolden is here to stay as ST specialist but also rb backup).

He won't drop much would he?

Bears tried him out without signing him.
Really wish we drafted Martavious Bryant.
