Trey Williams was signed to the practice squad..
Go whine somewhere else. You'd have been fired 10 times over for your personnel decisions in comparison to Belichick.

Good news on Trey. Just needs a little more seasoning.

Interesting. Trying to figure this front office people out can make you crazy but I don't think a theory of trying to give him a bit more time under less pressure to pick up the offense is a bad idea. How much are they paying him? If it is a lot it will be an indicator of how they value him.

You're question about how much they are paying him got me curious as to what practice squad players make. According to SB Nation, for the 2015 season, practice squad players can make no less than $6,600 per week.

Everything you need to know about NFL practice squads

New England often pays practice squad players more than the minimum. It's a way to make it less likely they sign to some other team's roster.

And, there he goes again :

The Patriots released rookie RB Trey Williams from the practice squad this morning, according to a source.

Williams is becoming like the guy "Ted" in the Dilbert comic strip.

He's the guy who is the one being fired whenever the strip calls for it.

Who is he making room for?

It appears Trey Williams has become the new Chris Harper of this board.

UGH. Dislikes.

That's confusing. You dislike that we released a guy who never played for us, nor has done anything of note in the NFL?

To the contrary, you should be happy that it appears we've found someone better to fill that spot.

I wanted to see him play.

Who holds the signed/promoted/cut record on this team?

I think that might belong to Ventrone, but Diquan Underwood definitely challenged him for that title in 2011

Maugaula Tuitele might have a claim. Ask Matt Chatham.
