another lettuce dilettante!! My God, save us from this barbarism!..lettuce us pray...

Just give me a damn salad based on something close to iceburg-romain-boston. Can't stand the salad that is made up seemingly of tree leaves and shrubs...

I've got arugula caught in my jugular...HALP!!!....

"Honeymoon Sandwich"... Lettuce alone...

Guess "fresh as a daisy" may enhance #12's oft maligned metrosexual tendencies.. any lettuce will do, except Chilpolte's..

now just hold on...enough is enough!!! I'm sick and tired of all this outright bigotry in this thread...tell me, just WHAT is so wrong about iceberg lettuce??? More and more I see this disgusting, thinly veiled attack on the innocent staple of a billion school lunches as you "greens snobs" prop up the superior qualities of YOUR preferred roughage. Well, I've HAD IT!!! Take your Romaine and hop a slow tugboat back to Romania...and don't try hiding under the alias "S. Carole" either...I'm onto you guys now!
#IcebergMatters

I avoided reading this thread because of the "It's Over" title. I assumed that it would be a thread declaring that the Patriots' unprecedented 14 year run of excellence had run its course.

Man am I glad I decided to check it out. It's got me fired up and ready to watch our team continue to KICK SOME MAJOR ASS!!!

Plus I learned a lot about lettuce

My friend the restaurant owner is always pushing that crap. My guess is that it's pretty cheap and he can up his profits by using it. I know it sucks. Give me those yellowy iceberg hearts any day, with just the right amount of tomato, cuke, carrot, extra sharp provolone pieces and Italian dressing.

And yeah, GO PATS!

It's all about fixing the OL, and I have faith that they'll turn it back on in ample time for the playoff run. I'd like to see Andrews back in there, personally, with Stork kicking out to guard (Kline is hurting, and was hurting last game, and it showed).

Glad Williams is healthy again, too - he'll make a big difference against a Watt or a Miller.

Edit: This Bit added ~ quite correctly ~ at the Behest of Brother Straggler.

Well, this has been exciting, but I believe that this Transitional Phase is coming to a close.

It's time to remember who the Alpha Team in this League is.

01 ~ What many Fans don't realize, I think, is that it takes Time for individuals and TeamMates to acclimate.
02 ~ The Offensive Line, I believe, is Healthy and on the verge of gelling and giving us its Very Best Work.
03 ~ I expect them to evolve all the way from an Horrible Weakness to an enormous Strength by Year's End.
04 ~ And I expect them to effect this Transition with stunning and even shocking Rapidity.

05 ~ Amendola is back. He needed a Week to Take It Through The Gears.
06 ~ He's had that, now. He's no Edelman, but I expect our Short Passing Game to Return, now.
07 ~ Not completely, mind you: Edleman and Kong are the most crucial Elements to that.
08 ~ But now we have at least one Element back ~ Amendola ~ and I believe that that'll prove pivotal.

09 ~ Collins is back, and he, too, has had a Week to Take It Through The Gears.
10 ~ It takes Reps, my Brothers. Reps. But he's had'm, now...and I expect that he'll get better every Week, now.
11 ~ Consequently, I expect our Defense as an whole will rapidly regain its recent extraordinary Form.
12 ~ Better Yet: The rest of the D has been gelling and growing for 12 Weeks.

13 ~ I expect them to finish with a Flourish that will astonish the resident Chicken Littles.
14 ~ Lest we forget: Despite a roster stripped bare of Talent by Injuries, the Refs had to steal the Bronco Game.
15 ~ And if it wasn't for a string of Freak Plays, we'd've likely beat the Eagles by 14, 21, or more.
16 ~ Despite rampant Forebodings of Doom, I think we Run The Table and get at least a Bye.

And then we'll have Kong, EdelPerson, Amendola Rock & Rolla, Collins, and the rest'f'm at Full Form.

And then God help the rest of the League.

Or better yet: Screw'm.

Screw'm all.

I don't really worry about our chances because both AFC and NFC divisions look so weak this year. I have all the confidence in the world, that come January we will beat those scrub Broncos, those sorry Bengals, whichever crap team survives the South and the Broncos will be easy to whoop, even with Edelman and Gronk on the bench. The only thing that worries me are the Bills and Jets, if they advance. Can we really beat up the Bills a 3rd time? I'm still a bit shaky about the Jets.

If we advance to the SB, we win because who in the NFC is going to beat the Pats, when they are healthy? Maybe the Giants, because we seem to get beat down by them in the big game every four years, for the past 8 years, but they probably won't even make the playoffs this time. At least I hope not.
