Nothing makes up for the Dion news but it's still good. Haven't seen anything on Vollmer.

Doug Kyed @dougkyed
Marcus Cannon walked through the Patriots' locker room without a limp.

Duron Harmon just walked through the locker room. He looks fine and said he feels fine.

Tre' Jackson also in the locker room today. Had a brace on his knee but was moving around fine.

We already knew about Harmon but good news on Cannon. He wouldn't be seen by the media on a Monday if he was still really hurt.

That is good news.

Harmon is was ass-u-me-ing the best but Cannon walking around is a nice bit of news.

You'd have to think Sheard will be back this week as well.

EDIT: Oops, beaten to the punch.

Anything on Vollmer??

A silver lining: Dion Lewis' MCL was not damaged, per source. Too early to know the recovery timetable, though.

This should mean that the ACL surgery will be sooner, if the MCL is torn too they often wait for that to heal first.

Loved having a RB with a Ferrari engine.....

Pats will have to go with their HummVee and Mustangs thru the rest of the season.....

Priorities for return, IMHO:
  1. Vollmer OR Cannon (roster then has 3 OT)
  2. Collins OR Sheard
  3. the other of Vollmer or Cannon
  4. the other of Collins or Sheard
  5. Harmon (because 27 safeties, most of whom seem to be playing well).

Didn't Ridley just come back in Week 8?

Ridley tore his MCL as well, which delays surgery and therefore delays the recovery timeline. Lewis' MCL being spared means he should have the surgery much sooner, and therefore should begin rehabbing sooner.

No idea when he'll be back of course, and minicamp is probably too aggressive of a projection by whoever was projecting that. But I think we can comfortably bet that his timeline will be significantly accelerated compared to Ridley.

how much would a brace cut down on lewis's ability to cut?

Gronk wears a brace on his leg as well correct?

With Bill requiring the Oline to wear knee braces, is it possible he might start enforcing that for skill position offensive players what with how defenses seem to be targeting knees lately, might not have helped lewis, but it could save a season.
