I watched most of it on my tv through the xbox 360 yahoo app. I gave the app a whirl for the first time and it was extremely smooth and easy. There was no buffering for commercials etc. It was exactly the same as if it was being broadcasted by cbs.

Im not a fan of change and see this as a potential threat to me having to shell out cash to see games in the future(ex playoff game on espn isnt cool), but it was okay.

The NFL got what they want. People talking about them and, supposedly, around $20M from Yahoo! to stream the game.
I'm not so sure. Yes, they got Yahoo's money for this one game, but they had to fudge the numbers outrageously in order to make it look like a success, which clearly it wasn't. Is Yahoo on the hook for any more showings? If not, you've got to wonder if they'll try it again.

Sounds familiar. I don't believe Yahoo! is contracted to stream any more games at this point. The data is what it is. It's just what the NFL chose to report. Most people aren't going to do any research and just read headlines (again, sounds familiar).

The $20 million from Yahoo was worth it. I finally remembered to close all my super old Yahoo Mail accounts. Thank you NFL!
That money is probably earmarked for the 2nd round legal team of "deflategate".

Personally I feel the bitrate wasn't high enough. The quality was good and acceptable but you know how sometimes can tell when one HD channel just looks better than another one? I have cable so maybe it's different with Directv It was just below broadcast quality if you ask me.

What's hilarious is that the NFL thinks they can fool a company like Yahoo with numbers.

Actually, it really was.
Oh I believe it. I mean it genuinely. I know it's cool to be able to interact with fans around the world of all types, but I'd bet times were a lot better when you could just worry about the game of football and not **** like this (no offense to the OP)

It was simple. Sunday's were for beer and football. No other ****. People weren't on their phones and computers flipping through multiple stations at once for a myriad of reasons and best of all, crap like "deflategate" would have been a footnote back then. Don't get me wrong, I do like technology and all the good things that it offers, but I do look fondly on the times before it.
