shows how much I know. any corresponding move yet?

I think we were at 52

Great. Couldn't have come at a better week than this one !

Typically you don't really say that a team thats putting 37ppg on the board needs more but they kinda do need that intermediate threat on the outside and around the hashes.

Gronk
Edelman
Lewis
Lafell

Might be our best top 4 weapons ever. 2010-2011 is arguable with Welker/Gronk/Prisoner/Branch and 2012 with Welker/Gronk/Prisoner/Lloyd.

Throw in Amendola/Chandler and this passing offense is silly.

I don't really think offensive production will really rise, but that it just allows the offense to adjust on the fly even easier and better.

Exactly. Especially with teams clamping down more on Gronk. Also concerned about what Lewis' situation.

More can't hurt.

Very excited about this. LaFell spent last September trying to figure things out and December/January nursing injuries. He was a machine in the middle of the season.

We'll have lafell who is the best x wr with Dobson the enigma as depth. Edelman and dola as slot at z wr. Then Gronk with chandler. Blount and Lewis. All the players are either excellent/ all pros in their positions and have great depth players. The cbs and ots are really the only positions that aren't at this level. That's insane!

Man with that OP title you would've thought Gronk was the one returning. Hope Lafell suits up!

LaFell - starting on the crazy Chiefs night - has exceeded all expectations. Glad he's back.

It took me 1/2 of a second to realize who you meant when you said "Prisoner" , now if you would have said murderer, I would had say, Ray Ray was on the Ratbirds

but, as much of POS AH is, he was still a very good TE,

Not sure Dobson is really an enigma anymore....

Been saying all week .... it's going to be a 5-wide kind of day.
That's how you beat the Jet's ... negate their run defense and negate their top 3 cover guys.
As long as 2 get open ... that's like 4 open for Brady.

Martin's no great shakes, and LaFell is, at least somewhat, a product of Brady. Now, before anyone starts getting pissed off about that first sentence, please realize that I phrased it that way in order to set up this question, because I'm thinking about just how well Brady's done with so little on the outside:

When was the last year where the Patriots had a better pairing of "legit" midrange-to-middle/deep outside WRs?

I had to go back to 2008 in my recollection, because I don't consider Branch II to fit that bill as much as he fits a position of slot-to-midrange WR. Does anyone have a different year in mind?
