danny you don't think the Jets D is a little overrated ie...look at who they have played...not exactly juggernauts on Offense. I know you play who's on your Schedule but I think If we played those same Teams in order we would be considered the 85 Bears Defense. I think playing an Elite Offense like ours will expose the Jets some.

Under difference circumstances I'd agree with you, but given our banged O-line, I'm very concerned about the sustainability of our offensive pocket around Brady. If we had our O-line intact, I wouldn't be concerned one bit.

Will Flowers ever play?

Flowers is becoming an enigma dude had like Six weeks off and still limited in practice good thing we are not depending on him. I would love to see Akiem Hicks get some extended playing time with is beef and power.

Didn't he play most of the final preseason game? I don't recall a single person wondering about his health prior to him ending up on the injury report.

Solder going down hurt our dept at LT now with our current situation but I think SeaBass Vollmer will play the position better than Solder I think he's more Stronger at the point of attack and wont give up the outsides as easily as Solder does against the better pass rushers. We just have to gulp! hope Vollmer doesn't go down. I think having LaFell back is good for us and bad for our opponents can't wait to see Brady and him connect on Back Shouler Throws and Slants.

These f#cking injuries are really starting to piss me off. Have a feeling this season is going end up like 2013, with the Pats limping into the playoffs. Impact players inactive for the playoff game @ Denver - Mayo, Gronkowski, Tommy Kelly, Vollmer, plus Talib went down early...F#CK....

I know fanboys like to tout "next man up" BS, but when that next guy up was a gym teacher two weeks prior, it's a big problem. Next man up didn't work out too well in '13, did it?

Other than Solder and Brown none of these injuries are full season.

Cannon, Mason, Sheard just about guaranteed not to play Sunday...F#CK.....
Or just giving them some extra time off. If they aren't doing anything tomorrow I'll be worried.

I felt the same way. With the replay not showing a bad twist or bend and Slater standing on his own, I couldn't figure out what serious injury could possibly have happened.

Maybe he banged it hard. He got up a little gingerly after the previous punt, so maybe it was tender and someone fell on it and hit it. That would make it particularly painful to stand up or get off the field under your own power, but it's one of those things that fades pretty quickly and doesn't cause any lasting damage.

True, but it's pretty modest comfort to say we've "only" IR'ed two key starters 5 games into the season.

So far they've lost their LT and a journeyman corner for the year. Everything else is minor. The 2010 Packers were decimated by injuries but got healthy when it mattered and cruised to a championship. Things could be way worse.

You "have a feeling" based on what?

We haven't lost anyone that would hurt our chances of repeating yet.

Given that all but Solder and T Brown are IR, we're doing better than a lot of teams at this point. BB doesn't front-load his teams for exactly this reason: they can withstand injuries better than anyone. In 2013, we got ridiculously slashed by injuries...and we made the AFCCG.

The "good" Patriot teams always seem to rise up when the picture looks bleakest. I'm looking forward to seeing how this group responds.

Worked out pretty well for the 2004 team.

And good news:

So it looks like Cannon and Sheard will not play. That's unfortunate.
