I'm also loving that Mike Williams signing right now.

And pretty good having Cam Fleming on the PS.

First IR shoe to drop. Not bad as we are approx. 30% into the season.
A prayer for Solder to make a full and speedy recovery, of course, as well as for this to be the last IR shoe to drop. It's unlikely, unfortunately, but one can always hope.

This sucks, but in the big picture, the Pats are probably better equipped than 90% of teams to deal with this injury with the downgrade not being as extreme as you'd think when losing a solid left tackle. Also, while it sucks, let's remember we are still in great health overall and aren't missing anyone who is truly a game changer like Gronkowski.

Curiously, I remarked during the game when they showed Solder talking to Brady that he had a funny looking bicep but I didn't connect to the injury. I was thinking hyper-extended elbow.

crap, big loss. cannon did not look good initially on sunday, but improved in the second half (maybe got some help from williams).

I'm thinking that is an injury that may not be able to be completely effective with after recovery.

But maybe that is more of a problem for someone who tackles people, rather than one who blocks them.

Isn't that an injury steroid users get?

I don't think that's known, but I'm pretty sure steroids make them heal a hell of a lot faster.

Well If Vollmer can make the transition, use Cannon or Fleming or whomever on the right side. Cannon on the blind side is something I don't wanna see, particularly.

Yikes. I wouldn't be shocked if Cannon takes over at RT or LT, don't think flipping Vollmer is a foregone conclusion. In either case, it just became imperative that Vollmer stays healthy in a way it hasn't been for a few years now.

I assume Vollmer moves to LT and Cannon slides in as RT. Flemming becomes the swing tackle, but I wonder if they will try and trade for someone better.

The opposite. Cannon struggles at Guard, not so good at pulling, and as you saw, Shaq pulls like a beast.
