Yea i do think Ben's a pretty tough guy but he is a complete ham.

He's like that kid who falls off his bike, scrapes his knee and is fine. As soon as his mom shows up he starts crying and acts like he fractured his kneecap.

His theatrics are legendary, I'll never forget that Browns game where he was limping up and down the sideline swinging the towel before entering the game.
After the game they asked him where he got his toughness and he gladly told a story about how tough his gramma was.

I like him as a qb but he's a drama queen blowhard..

I have a possible problem with the linked article. It states that The Sports Hub has it's own transmitter in Gillette stadium and that this powerful signal was picked up by the poorly grounded shield of the coaches analog signal cable before it got digitized and encrypted. But in reality, the FM transmitter is in Newton. I would think the signal from the stadium to Newton (possibly routed through The Sports Hub studios) is probably land line or line of sight microwave, which would moot the theory of a poorly grounded coaches signal ground wire acting as an antenna. I might be wrong about this and would appreciate any constructive comment.

I think in 14 years I've seen TB limp around twice. One was the ACL injury and the other was the AFCCG vs SD and he tried his damndest not to.

That's an interesting theory. However, if you click on the coverage map link at this website, http://radio-locator.com/info/WBZ-FM , there is no need for a repeater. Furthermore, I submitted a search to the FCC database for FM transmitters ( https://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/fm-query-broadcast-station-search ) and it didn't find any record of a FCC license for an FM transmitter in Foxborough.

BTW, I emailed the article's author and hope he responds with a clarification.

The article says that Sports HUB has a local transmitter in the stadium. If the transmitter is AM like those traffic transmitters or the transmitters found in tunnels, it makes a lot of sense. It is very difficult to have a malfunctioning piece of equipment demodulate an FM signal to audio. AM, on the other hand, is trivial to demodulate. It happens often accidentally. All you need is a single diode or even two dissimilar metals and you form a detector diode that strips off the AM carrier - which leaves you with the original audio.

The NFL admits there was a power problem. So lets say the equipment was receiving 70 volts. That would leave the logic level supplies sufficiently underpowered for the decription digital circuitry to produce any output. But the audio amp would still function at reduced voltage.

It is very easy to accidentally make an AM radio receiver. You do not even need a power supply or the ability to tune a circuit. Just a diode like device and a speaker or earphones and it will pick up the strongest local signal.

I know from being at the Super Bowl, many (if not all) stadiums have their own transmitters for broadcast in the stadium. At the Super Bowl, the gift bag at every set has a radio with headphones with preset stations that have the national radio and TV broadcasts and both local radio broadcasts. So my guess is that the Patriots have their own transmitter that broadcasts The Sports Hub's broadcast to certain parts of the stadium.

So my guess is that the Patriots have their own transmitter that broadcasts The Sports Hub's broadcast to certain parts of the stadium.

I was also wondering about
1. the proximity of the hub broadcast booth to the visitors coaches booth

2. OR if the hub booth could have used wireless to transmit to their repeater or whatever they are using to send the signal to newton.
