On the other hand, if KT is promoted, I wouldn't be surprised if he saw a decent amount of snaps.

At 3-0 KT is undefeated vs the Bills in his career.

I don't think this is a PS promotion since that would normally be done on Saturday. This smells of bringing someone new into the fold to me.

I think the addition could be at any position. Personally, I'd be activating Thompkins before someone else does. For me, Thompkins is a serious upgrade over Harper, who is PS material.

If we want to sign someone else, we still have Thornton and our 6th safety at the bottom of the roster.

I don't see why they would promote KT. They have him in their back pocket and can hit the emergency button any ol' time there if need be. It would not be smart to swap them for what would be a small upgrade when you are just going to sit him anyway.

Probably either taking on a project or feel they need more immediate help somewhere else.

If they are signing anyone I would assume they would want to sigh a DT or CB.

Either way they probably hope to put him on the PS... maybe not though considering you already have Thompkins there who is probably more pro ready.

I'm very surprised at the move. If LaFell was coming back next week, I could understand, but Harper played really well for us in the preseason and I thought he made plays. We are thin at that position. I can't imagine someone else coming in, not knowing the system and making a difference. I hope no other team picks him up and he comes on our PS. Should be interesting to see who we move to our roster now.

Nothing imminent between the Patriots and Terrelle Pryor, per source, so Harper's release is not currently related to Pryor.

A Thompkins/Harper swap appears to be the most obvious action, but the timing does seem a bit weird to me. Usually those transactions happen at the very end of the week.

Agreed, but signing or activation doesn't have to occur until Sat 4pm whereas roster must be at 53, so they could delay.

My feeling is that this is an insignificant transaction.

I think the PS is ******** ... 60 man roster with an increase on the game day roster would be right ... especially with the new concussion protocol. anyways ... I don't get too emotionally invested in these transactions Bill makes from week to week ... whatever he does I am okay with.
