I'm starting to get a bad feeling about the NFL and what the league office is capable of. It's pretty convenient that all of a sudden the first game, the headsets stop working when that was specifically one of the things the "un-named source" article comes out about the Pats. Oh so close to Brady handing the league their ass in court.

I'm going to be interested to see if all of a sudden through the course of the year some of these accusations in the article start popping up as happening during the game. I am starting the get the feeling that the NFL is going to take their pound of flesh and more from the Patriots no matter what they have to do to get it. Even manufacturing incidents that mirror these allegations on their own.

No because this is a common thing that happens at stadiums especially during times of inclement weather. It happens. The blow up over this is the real problem, not the technical malfunction which has an obvious explanation.

Normally I would agree. But now the story is the league is "launching and investigation" into this. If this is so common and the issues are common, why is the league all of a sudden targeting the Pats for investigation. All of this is being wrapped into a nice neat little bow.

LOL! "Starting to"? Have you been hibernating for the past year?

lol, yes I know. But the Wells report was from the league's ignorance on IDG. They just couldn't back down once they thought they had them. Now it seems like they are going to manufacture whatever evidence they can. My guess is the ultimate goal is to suspend Belichick, to achieve competitive balance.

The NFL, in their "independent" "investigation" will conveniently ignore the fact that the Patriots also had so many problems with THEIR headsets that they switched to using offensive hand signals in the 4th quarter

I don't think the headset issues were perpetrated by the NFL with bad intentions. I do, however, believe that the NFL wanted it out there when it happened and won't trip over themselves to make sure it's reported accurately that this is on their communications guys and not the Pats.

Unfortunately, between accusing the Patriots of tampering with headsets and physically assaulting a Pats fan, I think this game is gonna set a dark tone for the rest of the season

Rex and BOB defending us. BOB says it happens everywhere and Rex says he can't recall specifically Gillette being bad. I actually like Rex, he's funny as hell don't understand the hate. He's not a whiner earlier.

You could say exactly the same thing about ball inflation and look where we wound up.

The biggest problem is that the technology was powered by Microsoft Windows which is crap to begin with.
No kidding. Microsoft Surface is POS. Azure has the worst cloud availability of all Public Clouds.

For God's Sake put the whole thing on Red Hat and AWS.

I like Rex too. I enjoy how he talks up the matchups against us. It's good, healthy, competitive talk that shows us respect. He never whines and always defends us when cheating allegations are brought up.

No, for reasons others have said. But I'll also add that I was pleased that there did not appear to be any bias in the officiating. Some were concerned about that.
Be patient...
