Just for fun and the sake of argument, let's imagine that Brady finally has an MVP year and throws for 4,700 yards and 43 TDs (all very generous and wishful thinking, but just try to imagine): 2 questions can be answered in one reply. Who will be his targets and how many TD's and yards will each one have at season's end?

My humble prediction:
Moss - 1,000 yards - 9 TD's
Stallworth - 800 yards - 7 TD's
Welker - 600 yards - 5 TD's
Watson - 500 yards - 5 TD's
Gaffney - 500 yards - 4 TD's
Brown - 400 yards - 3 TD's
Jackson - 300 yards - 3 TD's
K. Brady - 200 yards - 2 TD's
Maroney, Morris, Faulk(combined) - 400 yards - 5 TD's

I know I won't even be close to the actual #'s w/ this prediction, but it makes me realize how extremely competitive TC will be and how unbelievably stacked this offense is. It was also hard not picking Washington or Caldwell!

Where's Caldwell.......?

Not that I'm complaining........

Jackson will probably be on IR. No way
Brady throws 43 Touchdown passes. 30 at max and around 4,000 yards. What will really be a kicker if Josh McDaniels decides this year since we have wide receivers we wont pass the ball that much. Since last year he always liked to pass the ball with 2nd tier Wide receivers.

Realistically, I can see Brady throwing for 30+ TD's and 4,000 yards! I just wanted to pad the #'s a bit for the sake of conversation. I put Jackson in there assuming that he's back in time for late October and has learned something since his rookie year.

I can't see Brady throwing for 30 TDs. The Pats just don't have that type of offense. Maroney is going to get a lot of touches too, so the Pats won't have the time to become the New England Colts.

I'll play homer today. It's a nice day and I'm in a good mood.

I think Brady will throw for 40+ TD's also and will throw forw WELL close to 5000 yards.

It's seems like an awful waste of receiving talent if he doesn't.

That's all I'm asking!

Please explain that to me.

What kind of offense do the Pats have?

An even offense. 50% run, 50% pass. Now, if the running game is completely shut down (ala San Diego), we go with the pass. But that has happened few and far between.

We're not the Colts were Manning is allowed to throw it 86313456461464658676416461354643 times a game.

But if you have the weapons, why wouldn't you?

If Maroney had proved without a doubt thay he can carry the load, I would agree.

But he's coming into the season after significant shoulder surgery and still some question marks IMO.

I honestly DO NOT believe we have a running game that can mandate us running the ball 50% of the time.

Do we have receivers that should push us to throw 65% of the time? NO DOUBT!

How about Garrett Mills and D.Thomas?Think they will get any balls this year?

Maroney can carry the load. Look what he did in his rookie season with no receiving threats around him to keep people from loading the box. His shoulder will be fine in two months for camp and if he isn't that concerned about it, why should you be?
