All of that is true, but if he had control of the roster-building strategy as he does in Dallas, (A) Belichick wouldn't be here, and (B) you would have been cursing him left and right for years. [Say what you want about Belichick, he's not just merely kept this team in the playoff hunt for years, but going deep into the playoffs most years.]

And Kraft was smart enough to give him that power and smart enough to stay out of his way. Is everyone so sure that BB didn't know about and approve of Kraft's about face?
