Actually it is an appeal to empirical data, the Patriots have been BY FAR the most successful franchise operating in the salary cap era.

Yeah, it's a lot easier to be that successful when you have the GOAT QB, and please don't claim selecting TFB is proof of their drafting skill, if they had the slightest clue as to what he'd become they'd have picked him long before the 6th round. They won the lottery with him.

I've already said why your argument is flawed, just because one knows a process very well doesn't mean that process is the best one available. As for "dumb luck", better lucky than good. The only true way to compare is to see how the guy sitting behind the computer's picks have done as opposed to the other evaluator's picks, that's the best that can be done.

I never said I know more about them, the important thing is the importance of the additional information and how well one utilizes the info.

Belichick is building a team to play on Sundays, he's not engaged in taking Kiper's highest rated player for the best post draft grade on Sunday of draft weekend. And somehow Belichick always ends up with one of the best team's in football every season despite losing both free agency and the draft, at least according to the "experts."

Don't know how, too slow, too weak, split time in college, will never be more than a back up.....

Montana was taken in the 3rd round, less luck there than counting on a 6th round pick to become the GOAT.

Hiring Walsh was a great decision by Debartolo.
