Brady vs Manning Post Season

JAG could finish with more rings than Peyton, even if he never starts a game.

The very first post-SB tweet I read was someone pointing out that he now has as many rings as Peyton, I forget who it was but talk about on point.

It's interesting how fast the debate has gone from Brady vs. Manning to Brady vs. Montana for GOAT.

Amazing, isn't it? Early in this very season Peyton was widely called the greatest QB ever, and now he seems to have vanished from the discussion as if he never existed.

Will be 39 years old
Welker gone
Julius likely gone

The 2015 Broncos offense should be a worse version of the 2009 Pats, a great WR duo and nothing else.

Manning may go 1 and done in the wildcard round next year

Hasselbeck is fighting the good fight

The two old men apparently declared they were soldiers, and the story they told when they emerged from the dense jungle of a Philippine island was yesterday the talk of the nation they claimed to have fought for.
According to reports, the Japanese men, who are both in their 80s, said they had been hiding on the island of Mindanao, which is 600 miles from Manila, since before the end of the second world war.

OMG, how fitting would it be for Peyton's career to end:

SB trouncing
One and done

Expect the Competition Committee to revise the rules big time to get Peyton into the playoffs and re-arrange seeding algorithms so that he gets to play a weak sister similar to Caroliner so he can rack up post season stats.

Imagine if Julius AND Demaryius Thomas both left in FA... I'm just trying to picture what would happen...

Elway probably overpays Welker just to keep some of the crew together... Imagine Peyton trying to play with Sanders and Welker as his top two receivers? And Jacob Tamme at TE? Talk about "ocean state job lot jags"...

Not giving SD and KC much of a chance of finishing ahead of Denver I see.

How about "0" and done?

...

I'm old enough to remember that there was a time when people seriously debated whether Montana or Marino was the better QB. It's been 15--20 years since the last time anyone tried to have that discussion with a straight face.

The same thing will happen with the Manning v. Brady debate. 20 years from now, Manning won't be in the GOAT discussion in a serious way. Like Marino, he'll be admired as a great QB who put up amazing numbers, consistent with how the game was played during his time, but who didn't have the portfolio of championships to be considered seriously as the best of all time.

I think that the serious discussion of Goat for years to come will center on Brady, Montana and Unitas, with honorary mentions to Roger Staubach and maybe a couple of others from before the SB era. If TB picks up a fifth ring, there will be no discussion at all.

The one and done is more poetic. Here's Peyton, post Rex Grossman (2006):

One and done
One and done
Pick 6 SB choke
One and done
One and done
Missed 1st snap SB choke
One and done

It just needs that last one and done to get him his tenth, and to make those last 8 years a beautifully rhythmic ending.

The resume of a true champion. How Br4dy and him are in the same sentence is baffling. Nobody ever put Farve and Montana in the same sentence.

Elway would just go overpay for DeMarco Murray. In fact my guess is outside of re-signing Demaryius Thomas, Murray is Elway's top want in FA.

Elway just brought in the guy that uses a zone cut block system who also happened to be the OC when he won his 2 SBs.

Missed 1st snap SB choke AND the signature Pick 6 as well!

Fixed it

Hey PWP, Brady only has 21 postseason wins. Unless you got some crystal ball where the pats repeat next year to get to 24
