Ravens

A loss to the Ravens would be hard but honestly, a loss to anyone is a rough pill to swallow. I don't care who it is, I just don't want the Pats to lose!

He hyper extended his knee. Tomlin says it's not serious, then again, he could be lying....

Could be, but even "not serious" in NFL vernacular usually means, "not bad enough to go on IR but still irritating or downright painful."

Hyper-extended knees are freaking painful. He'll be sore as hell for a couple of weeks. Glad there is no structural damage. Hes fun to watch.

I wonder how good he'll be next week.

The Steelers should still be able to torch the Ravens, even without Bell. Their offensive line is pretty damn good. Keep that front seven at bay and any reasonably good quarterback with decent weapons can light up the Ravens like a Christmas tree.

So you are rooting for the ravns to win, no?

If we lose to the Ravens or any team moving forward whether its in foxboro or the Superbowl then we were never that good to begin with. I want the pats to beat the toughest team there is out there and destroy the opposition like a boss. At this stage, the Strong will move on and the weak will get weed out.

No. We match up much better with the Steelers than we do the Ravens. Ravens have a better front 7 and our offense's Achilles Heel is the offensive line. That said, I think the Patriots could beat both. So I'm really rooting for just a physical and entertaining game. But, if I had a preference, I would root for the Steelers.

I'm a worry wart, but I would prefer to avoid the Ravens if at all possible. They beat us the last two out of three times at our place in the playoffs. They have a good pass rush and at this time with our Offensive Line a question mark, I want to avoid a team that can rush the passer as much as possible.
I also think they wouldn't be intimidated playing at Foxboro like maybe the Colts or Bengals would be.
Colts have no running game and does anybody here really worry about Dalton in a big spot, especially if Green is out?

The OL is still a question mark, though I doubt it's as bad as it appeared yesterday. No Connolly or Vollmer, Solder got injured, Cannon (why he got extended outside of leverage with Solder, I have no idea) getting a good amount of snaps, Kline sucking like Kline usually sucks, and Stork anchoring. I think the starting OL should be able to slow down Baltimore enough for Brady, Edelman, and Gronk to expose their secondary. Ultimately, the Patriots want to avoid teams with stout front sevens and a secondary/LB corps that can take away Edelman with one man and Gronk with one to two. That would be nobody in the AFC and Seattle in the NFC. The Ravens can probably make a game of it and put some heat on Brady, but I have little doubt about the Pats ability to win that game.

Last year going into the Baltimore game in Baltimore, all we heard was that Baltimore was tough, physical, and "unafraid" of the Pats. They were going to "punch YOU in the mouth" (Local media LOVE that term, Mike!). Remember, YOU had just lost to Miami, needed a miracle and a ticky tack PI to beat Cleveland - CLEVELAND, MIKE, and the offense was trending down. Baltimore was a HOT team and they had beaten YOU in the AFC Championship - they punched YOU in the mouth! Harbaugh outcoached YOU!
What happened? 41-7 Pats and it was never close...

These are all playoff teams. There's reason to fear all of them. The AFC had a very competitive field this year with four winning teams missing out. The Ravens, like all teams, have both strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I think we match up fine with them but there are always corollary arguments. In particular, the Ravens' strength is their downfield passing game, which happens to be our very best defense. On offense, I suspect we would have some trouble against that font seven, but not necessarily more than other playoff teams with good pass rushers.

I don't think the Ravens are as good as they've been in past playoff matchups, but interestingly enough they are one of only three teams in the playoffs this year who have a top ten scoring offense and a top ten scoring defense. The other two are New England and Seattle.

The thing I hate about Baltimore is that you can beat them like a drum for the entire game and lose on the three times Flacco closes his eyes and heaves it downfield. But, they've got a tough challenge if that's the way it works out. Back to back road games in Pittsburgh and Foxboro is a TALL order. No matter how you slice it, the third game between two division rivals is no walk in the park.

You're the one who contradicted yourself above. Blow it out your ass.

Again bring nothing to the table. You sound like a stupid ass Jets fan. "blow it out your ass" what are you 12?

Moron

I dislike two things! Suggs and Elvis. The rest is fine.

This, and offensively, honestly I think it really just comes down to the trenches. I wouldn't even sweat the secondaries of the opponents as much. We can beat an elite secondary, but not if we're getting our asses handed to us up front.

Look, chump, you've called me a moron twice, a dumbass once and accused me of being a Jets fans. I'm not 12, and I attended the first Boston Patriots game ever in September of 1960. You started with this crap whining like a little girl whose dollie was stolen and in chasing the thief down you ended up with a skinned knee and a runny nose. You're pissing your pants in advance over the prospect of facing a #6 seed at home and your team is the #1 seed. Your team's most recent game against this reincarnation of the 85 Bears resulted in your team beating that powerhouse on their home field 41-7 when said powerhouse needed that game to make the playoffs. Quit your sniveling and whining and being scared. I love it when you chicken littles come out of Mommy's basement to try and scare everyone. Grow the f### up or get the f### out.
