There's a separate forum for "visiting team" stuff, too. You are simply choosing not to use it.Again, your discretion, but you feel free to use the draft forum at the drop of a hat while leaving Rick Demulling on the main board. It's fascinating to watch you making these contortions to explain your uneven actions, by the way.

NO moderators have EVER used it for ANY general NFL threads that were NOT by trolls.

So I guess you are calling Ian a moron for deciding to sub divide his message board as he did.

Threads about ex-players jersey's aren't my cup of tea, but they are certainly patriot's related. I'm not into the light hearted posts as a rule, but I understand there are many levels of fan interests.

Threads started by Pat's fans (or visitors who don't behave like trolls) that deal with 2007 opponents we will face in the regular season and may likely face in the post season absolutely belong on this forum and are not even OT in that respect. As pats1 has tried to explain to you several times now, there is not a general NFL forum, just a visitors locker room designed for smack talking trolls and those who love sparing with them.

If pats1 were denying you or scott37 or seymour 93 or willie55 or anybody else the ability to post draft related topics on this or any other forum you might not be looking like such an ass right about now. You are free to post them anywhere you want. And he is empowered to move them to the forum where they NOW belong under a restructured forum design IAN implemented if he's logged in and so inclined. Where any of you could also post them with just a click of your mouse if you actually cared more about partaking in draft discussion than geting more attention for your threads by posting them on the main board. Or just weighting in on someone elses hissy fit in an effort to buck the system.

Just as scott could and should have PM'ed Ian with his concerns if he weren't hoping this thread would morph into a referendum that would force Ian into choosing to publicly side with him as opposed to his most recently appointed mod.

As for discretion, much like with NFL refs all that breeds is confusion and distrust. Ian has tried to be discrete and urged us to self-moderate in the past and self absorbed people just took advantage of him forever. This is just a message board, not life and death as some may have imbued it. It works best for most of us when it's enjoyment by the majority is not marred by the contentiousness of a very small minority intent on instigating or perpetuating pissing matches with each other or the management.

BTW the main forum seems to be holding it's own this AM even without a single draft thread gracing it.

God, it's nice to know someone gets it.

Move them to the visiting locker room and leave the room for the Pats stuff.

Who the hell cares that Rick DeMulling re-signed with the Colts. That has no business on the Pats main forum.

Enough. Do you want me to post links to all the threads you've posted in the main forum that "have no business being there?"

I'm getting sick of having to answer to everything I do.

Thats because of this pissing match you keep whining about.

I'm not a draft person. I could really care less about some guy I have never heard about from Utah State who ran a 4.3 40 or Pat Kirwan's latest mock draft. To me its all junk because as we all know the draft is not an exact science. Look at Tom Brady and Ryan leaf as examples. My only point is we use to be able to come to one location and scroll down the threads and get all our Pats information. Now you dont. You have to click here there and everywhere. With that you tend to miss things and articles.

OK. I'm not sure how much it will be. I usually come here first looking for information reading newspaper links and I haven't originated too many posts.

But I'm not the one moving draft related threads about the Pats and then posting stuff about the Colts in the main forum.

"Here there and everywhere?"

You have to click ONCE to get to the draft forum, where all the draft information and discussion is in "ONE LOCATION." You then click again, and you're back to everything else.

No, the claim about self-moderation was moronic, in context. As was this attempt to make it seem as if I were insulting Ian.

An ex-player is no longer a Patriot. How is a discussion about having his jersey Patriot related?

Again, Visiting teams would fit the Colts thread, started by Pats1, quite nicely. I find it ironic that his defense of that post is that they haven't historically been moved, when the draft posts hadn't historically been moved automatically either.

Again, it's not just a few peasants who disagree with the way in which Pats1 is handling this, it's other moderators. Get your tongue out of the crack of Pats1's backside and perhaps that will help your ability to read.

Just as scott could and should have PM'ed Ian with his concerns if he weren't hoping this thread would morph into a referendum that would force Ian into choosing to publicly side with him as opposed to his most recently appointed mod.

The "most recently appointed mod" is doing a crappy job regarding the draft issues. I'm glad it was pointed out in a thread, so that opinion on the matter could be publicly aired. And, again, in the hypocricy department, your posts could have been sent as PMs to the people you were disagreeing with rather than being made publicly on this thread, since they concerned that very same topic.

As for discretion, much like with NFL refs all that breeds is confusion and distrust. Yes, it's all a very small minority. The people who were so frustrated with the NEM situation numbered what, 3? Seriously, are you thinking before you post?

BTW the main forum seems to be holding it's own this AM even without a single draft thread gracing it.

Really? Posts having nothing to do with the Patriots, and a post on the first page that hasn't had a single comment on it in over 24 hours. But thank goodness we know that Demulling is going back to Indy! Oh, wait.... Visiting team issue. My mistake, right?

OK. I'm not sure how much it will be. I usually come here first looking for information reading newspaper links and I haven't originated too many posts.

Can't you think of anything better?

You're a broken record. Seriously. We're going around in circles.

!!!!!!!!!!

This thread reeks of some of the controversial ones near the end of NEMs stay. Just the fact that there are 18 pages in this thread, and still going strong, would seem to be a message to mods. Personally, the favorite Pats uni apparel/best candidate Patriot for president/most embarrassing Patriot type threads have lowered my expectations of finding much good here lately. And, I'm a one-stop shopper in that I have a lot of other websites to visit, some pleasure, some business, so I don't go to any other than the main page here.

All that said, I know that being a message board czar or moderator is a thankless task, so I don't blame anyone for not wanting to change things up because of a few complaints.

Just like the infamous Marquise Hill thread we have pats1 refusing to give an inch, and going on and on about how he's right, we're all ignorant, and he's the poor victim. Here's the link...

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=50719

Yet 18 pages on, he refuses to answer, "Were there ANY problems before pats1 become mod regarding draft threads in the main forum?" He knows the answer.

Please keep that to yourself.

I am still awaiting an answer to that question.

Why not just make a no post poll on whether or not draft related threads should be allowed in the general Pats forum. And then decide on what the members think?

Let's let Ian rule before that.

What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Leave your agenda at the door.
