Gregory carved out a nice career for himself, made a good amount of money, not bad for a guy who entered the NFL as a UDFA who played mostly STs.

I really thought that he would come back to the Pats to fill the bench.

Gregory was an odd player. He goes through hot and cold streaks when it comes to tackling. If he's hot, he'll be a plus in stopping the run and help haul down pass catchers. When he's cold, he does this weird thing were he bows out his arms, bends only at the waist, straightens his knees, and whiffs as the ball carrier flies by him.

He could be a better coach than player. Not a bad idea. That fumble would have been awesome even if Sanchez recovered it himself.

Yeah thats pure hilarity!

The main thing I like is the cartoon-like qualities of his fall - he goes from vertical to completely horizontal in about 1 frame! Yes, life rarely gives us such moments of comedy perfection and against our most hated rivals too.....priceless.

All the best to Steve Gregory, he may not have been a world beater by any stretch, but he was a solid team player.

I wish him a healthy and happy post-football life.

Agreed.

I'll remember him for that butt fumble, and taking horrible angles on tackles.

But best of luck to him. I could see him in some type of coaching capacity.

He looked bad playing for the Chiefs the other night vs Cinci and Eric Berry is coming back.

KC is in real trouble with its DBs. They will get carved up vs Seattle, SF, NE, SD, Denver if something does not really improve.

Always felt he would have been good as a 3rd safety, not as someone we're relying on to be the guy opposite DMC.

I was wondering if the Pats might bring him in as a an assistant secondary coach.. Supposedly, he was well-liked.. though that could be hard for him as well..

I know he was the goat for a lot of people here, but obviously Belichick had a lot of time for him. That (and the fact that he retired in camp) makes me wonder if there wasn't an injury issue that wasn't made public when he was cut (as with Leigh Bodden).
