Broncos losing Super Bowl all over again muahahah. Even though Patriots and Bruins floundered and Celtics got screwed in lotto this was still an awesome year in sports with Peyton and LeBron getting their asses' whooped. Props to Pop aka the Belichick of the NBA.

This is the sort of news where you go "Yes!!!!!!!"

Then you realize that the Celtics still suck, and you go "Damn it!"

But then you remember Mr. "Not one, not two...." and you go "Screw it. YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

CONGRATS TO THE SPURS

F.... LEBRON and the HEAT, He and Wade can laugh all they want now

Spurs showing you don't need to team up to win titles. Gotta appreciate what the Spurs did. This is huge for the league.

If only the Heat had Melo, Love, and Westbrook to play with their Big 3, then they'd be champs again .

In all seriousness, congrats to the Spurs.. Truly one of the best franchises that the NBA has ever seen.

As much as I hate the Heat and am glad they lost, hard to really clown anyone for losing to that team. It's really been amazing to watch, especially in a sport where all but one of the champions in the past 20+ years has needed at least one truly elite player to win a title. I was looking at the Spurs #'s this year and no player averaged 30 minutes/game or more. In the NBA, that's pretty unheard of as far as I know for a championship team. Popovich, in my book, is up there with any coach in any sport, in history. 15 years of excellence and running.

Scary thing is if Duncan plays anywhere near as well as he did this season and playoffs, there's no reason to believe they can't do this another 2 years.

I'm not sure how taking delight in the misery of others comes close to celebrating the teams you support winning championships. IMO, there's nothing awesome about that at all.

The Heat really got it handed to them for the first time in the Finals. Those last 3 years were all closer games. I wonder if the magic is over.

im ecstatic about the spurs winning #5....they are my favorite nba team and i like popovich....i grew up playing bball and they play team ball the best i have ever seen

I used to think that pop was the belichick of the nba, but maybe its the other way around

c'mon bb, you're letting another croat make you look bad.....step it up......j/k.....sort of

I always thought it was funny that the ESPN tards and trolls accused Heat fans of being bandwagon jumpers but most of America hopped on the Spurs junk so hard that their booty holes made a suctioning sound followed by a sharp pop when they climbed off. :)

Nah, but in all seriousness, I posted this in another thread...

After Game 3, I knew there was no way in Hell we were winning this. The Spurs were draining shots with their eyes closed. But still, it's been a fun three years and I don't have much to complain about in the way of titles. How Riley handles this offseason should be interesting. Wade and pretty much all of the bench need to go. They're simply too old to get it done. But I trust Riley to take care of business and would be intrigued with them showing Wade the door (ceremoneously, of course) and bringing in Melo. Congrats to the Spurs, Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili for getting another one. They were by far and away the best team. Kawhi Leonard has a VERY bright future in that league.

As delighted as I am that Miami lost, the real story is the Spurs. Their performance in this series was a jaw-dropping example of excellence that we haven't seen in along time. Wow!
Yup. The way they were shooting, nobody was beating them. They all honestly could have been blindfolded and probably would have hit close to 50% of their 3's.

When Tiago friggin Splitter made a reverse layup I knew it was over. and manu with the dunk...sereal

So much could be said about why the Spurs were so good.
1. Coaching was superb and biggest key.
2. The defense of James. James's first step when he
drives to the basket is key and Leonard had his hands
defending in such a way to make it difficult for James
to step off into his patented shoulder dipping drives.

Figured you Celtics fans would get a big kick out of this.

Is it really band wagon hopping if you get on just to root against the other team? It really just aligns with our true fandom and not really just jumping to any winner.
