Excellent piece in Charlotte on Brandon LaFell's comment that it's different in New England and Brady demands more of the offense in OTAs. I love the comment at the end from Panthers safety Roman Harper that working hard doesn't guarantee any wins at the end of the day. Really?

It's odd that a team that beat New England last season would get their panties in a bunch about this comment.

Erm...

Roman Harper said:
"I feel competitiveness-wise, we definitely get after it (in Carolina). We compete every day.”

Competitiveness-wise? You mean competitively?

I'm not sure why reporters don't just go ahead if correct things like this anymore. They know what they're trying to say but reporters just let any ridiculous statement stand. They used to just go ahead and correct the grammar/English so that people could read an article without feeling like they lost IQ points reading it. What's next? Are people going to start to remove "r"s for New Englanders or add a few "rrr" for southern states?

I'd like to be critical of the Carolinians for taking anything a player on a new team says seriously when he compares his new team to his old. No matter the topic, 99% of the time the player will talk about how such-and-such is so much better in his new team than it was at his old team.

But then I remember how much this forum was in a tizzy when Talib compared his new QB-teammate favorably to his old QB-teammate. So I guess I can't be too critical of our neighbors to the south.

you certainly are NOT a gun hoe Patriots fan , 39....that's probably a good thing though..

I wanted to Google an example of a Gun Hoe and post a picture to this thread, but I'm at work.

You may want to correct your first sentence.(grammar/syntax)

Surprised that this would need to be pointed out but:

Fan forum posts do not equal NFL player public media quotes.

Hey, Hardwork is nice and all, but what really gets you those mid season W's is refs that will let you tackle the opposing teams offensive weapons in the end zone to cause game ending turn overs.

Work smarter(paying refs) not harder.

no, that was intentional. I would say syntax if I thought it were structural in nature but in some cases, I'm not sure what language they are trying to speak since structure is the least of the issues. There is no need for a question mark.
