So far, the team is playing more like what everyone expected of them last year than the team they were in 2013. It's hard for me to get disappointed based on the fact that they're finally playing rookies and giving them enough time to learn the ropes. That's always something that's annoyed me about some years in the past... the kids need experience. And sometimes that's gonna suck until they learn what they're doing.

2013 is arguably the most amazing Red Sox championship - even moreso than 2004. They just did not have the talent to justify the amount of success they had.

Don't get me wrong.... I'm not complaining and the above statement doesn't diminish my enjoyment of their championship one bit. I'm just saying that it was amazing how much that team overachieved.

no way. 2004 stands alone. finally beating the yankees and making history becoming the first team in baseball to win a best of seven series after trailing three games to zero. then they win the world series. 04 the team that broke the curse will forever stand alone. people have short memories. 2013 was no fluke either. theres no such thing as catching lightning in a bottle when it comes to winning a world series.
