Too many positions are just god awful for the few areas of strength to overcome. Defensive line is the obvious strong point.
QB - Geno's development will be set back if not derailed by Vick being named starter. Vick is not in his prime, but can be streaky. When he gets injured, and he always does, Geno gets to play and he will show regression due to not getting the reps and coaching he should have gotten.
I would list all their DB's to make a point: "Who are these guys?" The only recognizable names out of 16 for me are: Dee Milliner, Kyle Wilson, Calvin Pryor(R), Ed Reed, and Ras-I Dowling. Reed's like 35 years old. Wilson was never great. Milliner and Pryor could be good. I recognize Dowling's name, but fat chance he is healthy. This team used to have Revis and Cromartie and could come up to the line and play pressure across the board.
Mike Vick (old, better than Geno, not good enough to really help though), Eric Decker (not a #1WR, production a result of Manning), Chris Johnson (me first guy with declining numbers, old for a RB).
Seriously, these guys should struggle to score 20 points every single game. Their defense is predicated on a stout front 4. Their LBs aren't even that good.
8-8 was a miracle last year. 6 wins seems like their level and another year where they have to reach to get a QB.
