Welcome to the new forum!

Interesting idea. I'll make no guarantees, but I'll certainly see if I can't come up with something. Have a couple of ideas that may work, but you're just looking for straight x's and o's and the ability to diagram them, correct?

Something like an in-post version of Paint could be good to "chalk up" plays etc if that's possible.

It would have come in handy when I was trying to show off some 5-2-4 defensive concepts over on the draft board. It'd come in pretty useful in general when talking about plays and the like in the run up to games or in post-game threads too.

One minor issue, or maybe I'm just not used to using the link icon.

On the old software when somebody copy and pasted a link, the hyperlink would (almost always) appear with the preset title and heading; now it just shows up as http - whatever.

For example: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2014...orida-defensive-lineman-dominique-easley.html as opposed to 2014 NFL Draft Close-Up: Florida Defensive Lineman Dominique Easley | NEPatriotsDraft.com - 2014 NFL Draft.

Also - is it me, or is it tough to see hyperlinks - i.e., the default color for hyperlinks are very close to the default color for text? Possible to make it a lighter shade of blue (like the color on the 'click to expand' words on quotes), to make the difference a bit more obvious perhaps?

I've noticed that. I'm investigating some additional color combinations so I'll try and see if I can't distinguish those better. I'll also look into the link feature and see if that's something that can be enabled :)

Correct, something that would act as a pseudo chalkboard. If not right on the board, than a link to a place were I could do my X's and O's and link it over here.

Think about how great a thread would be that discussed possible alignments we might see with our new additions. Or a thread where we can discuss possible coverage that go beyond cover 2, and explain them to others.

The quote feature isn't working? Is it just that the link isn't appearing, or is it just not functioning for you?

Nope it's fine; the new multi quote feature popup and then add quote was a change that must have just loaded

You can use this and then take a screenshot of it:

Really am a slow learner!!! Not too observant either. I was fumbling and thrashing around the new setup too much and never noticed this thread that's answering all the questions running through my ancient brain. Sheesh what an idiot (no need to agree guys and gals).

Any questions you have sir, definitely post them here. Happy to help :)

That is correct, you no longer get a message saying "User X is ignored" it simply doesn't show up.

My question - is there a way to block a thread like on the old one ? I like being able to block O.T. threads like the current UConn thread.
Love that feature. It was always annoying seeing that message on the old forum. One question on this same topic, though: if an ignored poster is quoted, can the content of the quote be seen? I find that annoying, too.

I'm old and hate all change reflexively. Just saying, don't take it personally when I tell you in my day we yelled out windows and our neighbors threatened to call the cops and communities were better back then!

So. Many. Compliments.

Don't know if i give a Winner, a Like, an Agree.

HELP

EDIT - PS - It's looking pretty cool!

Sorry, just seemed like the perfect time to try out the new 'agree' icon. :)

P.S. Ian, here I am whining again. I finally figured you can only choose your jersey after you have a post. Can't just lurk! So what happened to jersey #37? If you don't put one up there, I'll have to tell Rodney. You don't want me to tell Rodney.

(Actually, Rodney would tell me to STFU and get back on the field.)

I've gone ahead and put that one in for you :D

@Ian, not that Patsfans wasn't an amazing experience before the migration but, in my opinion, the forum is that much more enjoyable not having to see/hear/read the opinions of posters I have no interest engaging.

Thanks for further improving my Patsfans experience.

I'm glad you like it, although I hope the overall experience and speed is better than the old forum. As nice as some of the new features are that was really the driving force behind the move and I'm just hoping everyone's experience is also better during the season as a result

The new forums look great and I am loving the new look. Using this forum as a test post to see how my post will look in a thread, hope you don't mind. Again, the forums look awesome.

Wow! Things look different. Lots of cool features, though....

Help, please. How does one post a photograph so that it appears bigger than a postage stamp?

I posted a photo of the Ryan brothers and Mangini on the NFL Minor League thread and when I posted it looked like the photo was something like 400 X 300 pixels but when I went back there it was miniaturized. I must be doing something wrong. Can you help?

Also is there a help section of the forum?

Attachments will appear as a thumbnail and link, although in that thread the photo you posted is appearing as full size for me??

Yes, there's a "Help Desk" forum that, in your case, you'll see in the subforum section at the bottom. I'm subscribed so I should be notified if you post anything :)
