So Michael Sam Is Gay, Who Cares? Can He Rush The QB?

I forgot your opinion is the only one that matters.

You are the one putting it that way. You stated that you disagreed with me. That's fine. I am not disagreeing with you on anything except the subject of this thread. We are discussing bigotry towards gay people, not towards people in general.

Then by your definition, impotent men or infertile women are also unnatural since they could not use their organs as nature intended them to.

And god forbid that people choose to use them in a way that cannot lead to procreation.

If that's unnatural, then every single person on the planet is an unnatural sexual deviant.

You claim that gays are not mentally and physically healthy because they have a high rate of STDs.

Black men also have a disproportionate rate of STDs.. does this mean they are also mentally and physically unhealthy?

If you answer no, then you are obviously biased towards gays.

If you answer yes, then you would be erroneous. According to the CDC, the health of black men is not significantly different than the health of the average man.

You're trying to divert and talk about blacks. We're talking about gays. Suicide rate, alcohol abuse, drug abuse is way higher with homosexuals. They are not as healthy mentally as heterosexuals. And with their vastly more sexual partners in a lifetime, STD's are rampant among homosexuals. It greatly effects their physical health because of their lifestyle choices. I'm surprised you'd say they are healthy as a group.

If you're discussing gays, why are you always bringing blacks into the conversation?

Gee, you think this could have anything to do with the fact that they have been marginalized, discriminated against, and humiliated by idiots like you?

Those who are discriminated against are more likely to seek escape through drugs and alcohol. This is not surprising and in no way makes homosexuality wrong. It simply makes you wrong. It makes you the guilty party, because its *******s like you who are the root of the problem.

I asked in the other thread and you did not answer.
Does being a good teammate include not acting gay?
Every lockerroom I have ever been in, sex is a huge topic of conversation.
So if Sam is doing like the straight players and talking about sex, telling stories, etc, does that make him a bad teammate?
If he openly discusses his gayness, just as straight players openly discuss their sexual proclivities, is he still a good teammate?
If he brings a date to a party at your house and makes out with them, while straight players are doing the same, is he still a 'good teammate'?

Yes that would be bad for a gay teammate to do. Him discussing his sex life will gross out a very large majority of his teammates.

Why would you feel that what you think the point is would be the only thing that is relevant?

I feel that the underlying bigotry is the issue, and that is materializes as anti-gay.
You seem to think that it is limited to that.
Fine, but your view does not make my opinion IRRELEVANT and what you think the subject of the thread is does not mean everyone thinks that.
Feel free to discuss the topic as you see fit, but do not tell me what is relevant.

Yes that would be bad for a gay teammate to do. Him discussing his sex life will gross out a very large majority of his teammates.

Discussing your sexual exploits in graphic terms is low class no matter your orientation.

Let me ask you this, Boogs. Have you ever watched pornography? If so, have you seen girl-girl scenes? If so, what did you think?

Yes that would be bad for a gay teammate to do. Him discussing his sex life will gross out a very large majority of his teammates.

So your claim that you would compete alongside of him only includes if he acts straight.

How do you know it would gross out his teammates.
We all understand that you find gay sex unappealing. So do I.
I am not sure why you feel threatened about other people not feeling that way.

No it isn't. I'm friendly to homosexuals and I'd compete alongside one. And he'd probably say I was a good teammate right back. I don't have to agree with his life choices off the field.

Perhaps it is because they are treated as second class citizens, they have to stay in the closet or else fear being ridiculed and that creates anxiety which manifests itself in bad behavior. After all, there are a whole host of homophobic slurs and I know while growing up it was quite common to ridicule somebody who is suspected of being gay.

You are contributing to the problem and not the solution.

I wouldn't feel threatened. But I would tell him don't talk about it around me man. Lets stick to football or other subjects.

Ahh, you prefer that they act like they are attracted to girls. In other words, live a complete lie....then you wonder why they have so many issues.

If you're discussing gays, why are you always bringing blacks into the conversation?

The answer to that is very simple.
The black race is an example of people who have been the target of the same bigotry you have toward gay people.
You can't hide behind religion when applying your bigotry to blacks.

I wouldn't feel threatened. But I would tell him don't talk about it around me man. Lets stick to football or other subjects.

Would you call the straight player who talked about sex a bad teammate?

Saying you would tell him to not talk about it around you is being threatened.

Wouldn't YOU then be a bad teammate by asking him to not freely act like himself as every other player is doing?

You seem to think that the gay man agrees with you that he is wrong and abnormal, but just can't help himself so he commits these vile acts and out of respect for you should pretend that he doesn't because you are right, it is gross.

Talking about who he is makes him a bad teammate. Telling him not to talk about who he is makes you a good teammate? WTF?

I wouldn't feel threatened. But I would tell him don't talk about it around me man. Lets stick to football or other subjects.

So you're allowed to talk about women, but he has to keep quiet about men. Gotcha.

I wouldn't feel threatened. But I would tell him don't talk about it around me man. Lets stick to football or other subjects.

Wow.. talk about a double-standard.

So you would talk about your perverted view of the bible around him?

What if he told you to keep that crap to yourself? Would you do that?

I am not diverting anything. I am only drawing comparisons to show you how flawed your logic is.

I guess you're talking about yourself.

The perspective that homosexuality is 'unnatural' that you, boogs, kontradiction and others have put forth is a very poor argument because a great deal of civilization is "unnatural" if we were to follow that line of thinking.

Were "natural" to be equated with "what is right," and "unnatural" equated with "what is wrong" then all of us were wrong the day we put on clothes because no other animals do that. No other animals drive cars, watch tv, or play football.

And invoking the bible in a literal fashion is pretty silly because if we were to take it literally, the entire NFL would have to be put to death for working on the Sabbath, according to Moses.

The only poor arguments I've read is from you. I'm pretty consistent with my point of same sex intercourse with our organs made for procreation is unnatural. It's not what nature intended. Simple concept that you fail to grasp.
