Just to nitpick, this is actually their third matchup in the AFCCG and fourth in the playoffs overall.

Anyway, Please don't be the flu, please don't be the flu, please don't be the flu.

Shhhhh... you're spoiling my rumor mongering.

It's confirmed that he will not appear and he also missed practice. Some reporters are speculating he's down with the flu.

I would be shocking if Brady and the rest of the players didn't receive flu shots given how often they travel.

BIG discussion on this after the 2006 AFCCG vs Peyton's Colts and the 2nd half Patriots fade with many sick from the flu.

Years ago, I got a flu shot. Made me sick as a dog. Never again.

I'm sure he will be just fine come Sunday. Of course, this might just be a brillant move by BB! He knows that the Pats can crush the Broncos with Blount Force, so just start Mallet and make some team fork over a first round pick for a AFC Championship winning QB! Its not like he hasn't done this before (cough, Buffalo, cough)

Tune's not a doctor, he only plays one on TV...

....and he stayed at a holiday inn express last night. ....Hopefully this is another mind game BB came up with. If not, this a potentially serious problem. WTH, always at the most opportune times. Dam. I was feeling pretty good about this game. This would be a good thing for Donkeys considering when one player gets the flu it spreads

Actually "they" say its impossible to get the flu from the shot cuz its a dead virus that they use now. I heard from several friends this year, who say the same thing as you. This is the first yr I didnt get one in a few yrs. I really should tho, I've had good results myself

The myth of hand santizers. They dry up your skin, unclog your pores, and make you more susceptible to catching germs. You want to protect yourself? Go outside and rub your hands in the dirt.

Well, the ethanol is highly toxic to bacteria, and quickly (in seconds), but indeed it does also dissolve the oils in your skin. They add some glycerine and propylene glycol to minimize this, but overuse can dry out or even crack your skin.

Viruses scoff at sanitizers though. Of course, all colds, stomach "flus" and seasonal influenzas are viral in origin.

Meaning, you are almost certainly wasting your money buying and using them for winter colds/flu

1) They got the flu strain wrong (again) this year, so the shot wouldn't be effective anyway.

2) Isn't this the SAME EFFING THING that happened in 2006? ****!!!

Cant we kill Aiken and catapult his carcass over the Donkeys compound walls.

Tom Brady had the flu and a 100something temperature in Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship in January 2005. Result? 14-21-207 2 TDs 0 INT and a rating of 130.5...here's to hoping he has the flu again....

Tom also had something like. 101 degree fever the night before he dismantled the Steelers in the 2004 AFCCG.

1) actually not. The primary strain being seen this year is 2009 H1N1 which IS in the vaccine. And CDC and Canada's version of CDC has said the match is pretty good this year.

2) 2006 was most likely norovirus (i.e. cruise ship disease) based on what was reported informally about runs and vomiting. Incredibly contagious - way more so than real flu. Though real flu once it gets rolling would make it near impossible to play because it wipes you out so hard for so long.

I heard they tracked the source down of sickness.

They got the flu from the ball Danny Aiken snapped to Ryan Allen last game.

OK, that was really bad, but so bad it was good ???

Good news is it's only Wednesday so Brady has four more days to get his fluids in and get better before the game.
