If the Pats lose this game at Denver, how bad would it be?

The Colts loss worse than 2007?!?!?! No freakin' WAY. We had Caldwell in 2006, and freakin' Randy Moss and an 18-0 streak in 2007. Plus the hideous thought of all those 19-0 t-shirts distributed throughout Africa.

Colts AFCCG loss was worse.
Pats had a big lead and blew it all 2nd half.
The SB game would have been an easy Pats win and worst of all, this loss gave Peyton an easy SB win.

Once December 2007 began you could see that the good DCs with good defensive teams had developed the template to stop the Welker Moss focused offense. The SB loss was not a surprise. i hated the 19-0 focus season. Took us years to get over that abomination of offensive focus.

The SB loss to the Packers annoys me a lot more in retrospect given how close the game was and what we know now about what was going on behind the scenes with our head coach.

Some of the coaching decisions he made in the game really were quite curious...and it would not shock me at all if there was more to those decisions than just a bad day at the office. I'll leave it at that.

I can't believe all th crap fans this team has picked up.

The Giants DC credited the Browns - and Romeo Crennel was their coach btw - of being the architect of that blueprint. Go figure.

It is a miracle they didn't implode this year. This is all gravy. second youngest team in the NFL this year, a billion injuries, a murder, any other team would have fallen apart to be 4 and 12.

This year this team has shown a mental and physical toughness not seen in a decade I love it and they have a real chance against anyone. I think they will win at Denver but won't be surprised if they don't.

A bigger story is in the AFC have the classical Manning and Brady duel while in the NFC its the new style QBs Wilson vs. Kaperneck. The new style may win any year but I doubt these two will be dueling it out a dozen years from now like Brady Manning.

Oldrover, Oldrover we'll send some optimism right over....

......
I know it was a regular season game but the 31-0 loss in Buffalo is in my top 5 in this list for a lot of reasons.

But they returned the favor at the end of the season, that made it ok.

I won't lose any sleep like 2007 or our most recent superbowl loss, its better to lose with a not so talented team. . They're only require to play without fear as this will probably be the last game of the season.
Except the Patriots are a better TEAM than the Broncos.
Otherwise, carry on Debbie Downer.

Yeah that was awesome...by the same score! Couldn't have written that one any better.

The opener sucked though. Not just the result but for everyone piling on the entire organization before, during and after the game.

1. 2006-7 (Colts)
2. 2007-8 (Giants)
3. 2011-12 (Giants)
4. 2010-11 (Jets)
5. 2005-6 (Broncos)

The 5 most crushing losses in the Brady-Belichick era. In that order.

Are you kidding me???????

There is (and there never will be) as crushing and historic a single loss (in arguably ANY American sport) as SB 42.

It is inconceivable how the loss in the Hoosier Dome in the AFCCG to the favored Colts can ever be more crushing than that.

I'll be disappointed if they lose but they're playing with house money at this point. Other than 02, 08 and 09 this has to be the team least likely to make it this far given all the cogs that aren't here.

if they lose....i hope they lose giving it 110% until the very end and i know they will. If they lose it won't be becasue of lack of effort like SD

I'm not for moderation, but could we consider threads like this trolling and just delete them?

Never look away from that which you fear, my son.

But if you must, click another thread. We'll try to keep it to this minimum.

Hey fellas, what do you think about losing this weekend?

As long as

A: The Pats don't get blown out.
B: The Pats don't lose on account of choking away a lead in the 4th.
C: The Broncos lose in the SB.

Then I'm not going to be too upset if this team loses.

In the Brady-Manning Debate:

a) If Broncos win, well they were favored, Brady helped carry a remarkably depleted team to the AFCCG, Manning becomes 11-11 in the playoffs and 5-10 against Brady. Good luck throwing in February outdoors in the NJ Super Bowl Peyton.

b) If the Patriots win, Brady will have done what the rest of the nation thought impossible with no playmaking TE's no WR's beyond a poor man's #1 and #2, on the road. He becomes 19-7 in the playoffs (adding to his NFL record for playoff wins), 11-4 against Manning and goes to his QB unprecedented (and probably never to be matched) 6th Super Bowl.

.....The Brady-Manning debate would be OVER and DONE WITH forever. Not even Archie could argue it.

I've seen a number of people say similar things in the past. Personally I think its some type of coping mechanism. I remember the surreal feeling at the end of that I could only describe as dream or rather a nightmare. I think to many that memory has been compartmentalized as some sort of bad dream and don't recall as a lucid memory. In that way, I can see their point. It was in fact so bad that many normal fan minds can't even process what they experienced.

i agree,The Broncos were never threaten. i still can't believe the chargers didn't go for it after recovering the onside kick down 24-14, they showed no guts and no heart, i just hope we go down swinging and actually challenge them for the right to go to the superbowl.

What if the team bus went off a cliff?

Just trying to get into the spirit of things.

By the way, is there a game this weekend?

OK, you made your point. You can end your harping now and go to another thread. No one is forcing you to be in this one.
