he had an amazing rookie season - i had big hopes on him - he could have been, imho, a very good runner...

Curtis Martin, but someone you forgot who i think won rookie of the year at RB was Stephens. I could have the name wrong and cant remember his first. If someone can help me refresh my memory i would appreciate it. I think his name was John Stephens. I remember loving that guy. He had a short career though due to injuries if i remember right. This was back in the late 80's or early 90's.

I found some stuff on John Stephens and it was nice to know that my memory was correct. Although it didnt say he won rookie of the year it did say he was elected to the pro bowl. Here is the link.

So funny how only 3 pats ever won rookie of the year award and one was John stephens, the only guy who didnt make anyones list.
