im confused, which of those are holding ?

I'm not going to get into it with you, I'm sure BB or S Payton could drag us into a film room and show us more penalties that happen in any given game and don't get called that it would make our collective jaws crash to the ground.

It sucks to be on the tail end of one of those losses, I feel your pain man, we know some calls didn't go your way we also know that there were obvious missed opportunities in the end to close out the game. You can only give QB's like Brees and TB so many chances and we ended up getting the last one.

Good game no hard feelings.

I sat next to a couple Saints fans. Almost asked one of 'em if his name was Pherein. It kind of hacked me off when N.O. tied the game and a group in the back started up that obnoxious "Who dat" chant. I'm glad we didn't have to hear it again afterward.

LOL, yeah that can be annoying, were passionate like you but have that saying that can gets under your skin. Im pretty sure the Colts fans, who blew us off didnt like it to much either, but its here to stay.
Id really like to hang with you for our next game. Just throwing it out there. You joker, ausbacker,Bella*chick,Brady2Welker, BradyFTW!, CheeseMonkeys, convertedpatsf,DaBruinz,DarrylS, Deus Irae,Gwedd,italia44,Its_The_Patriots,KontradictioN,PATRIOTSFANINPA,PatsDeb,PatsFanSince74, PATSNUTme,reflexblue, robbomango, etc..
even if you make playoffs, and we dont. Id love to meet your families, and have some culture exchange. Meet the wife and kids. I cook a some very good garlic herb legs, and cayenne hot wings.

really great game robbomango thanks for understanding our conserns. So happy for you guys. Best of luck with the Jets game.

Lets call a spade a spade. Saints fans on this board are friendly when they beat the Pats. Not so much when they lose. That's the way I see it. No sir, don't like it. Shallow. In some small way it angers me because, here you think you have a friendly foe, but just a Jet in sheeps clothing. I'm sorry, but please just go away and take your other face with you.

If you can't admit those are holds, you've got no business ever criticizing any holding calls.

We'll feed you some clam chowda and lobsta rolls (made at Skipjack's of course as I don't "do" tailgating any more, LOL) and shoot the you-know-what. We actually should have a Patsfans meet up somewhere soon! When I first arrived at Gillette the other day (I got there early so that I wouldn't be shut out of the restaurants at Patriots Place) I saw a lot of Saints fans and thought you guys were going to overrun us! I then realized that it was just they were all there early like me as they were exploring the place. There was one Saints fan in our section who was up dancing every time the music was playing. Seemed like a good guy, talking to everyone around him.

I would be mad at the non-calls too if I was a Saints fan, but the fact remains that the refs didn't leave more than a minute on the clock at the end of the game for Tom Brady, nor did they march the ball down to the 17 yd. line. There are non-calls or questionable calls in favor of and against both teams in every game. You have to win despite them. Good luck for the rest of the year - you have a really good team.

No offense, pherein - you're a good dude and I like you - but go ahead and read this thread, then tell us that Saints fans--the ones posting online, at least--aren't predominantly losers and d-bags. Pathetic.

It's really weird, because up to and through Sunday I actually generally liked the Saints fan base. Have had mostly positive interactions with your fans dating back years. But since Sunday, I've seen that Saints fans take losses worse than anyone outside of Baltimore, and then get are happy to see our best players go down with significant injuries because they're butt-hurt over losing. You're the man, of course, but my opinion on Saints fans collectively has done a complete 180 in the past three days.

My wife and I got back from our Boston weekend trip late last night, not going to bother to add to much from the game, but holy crap, it was a pretty dramatic way for me to finally see my first Patriots win after 3 previous losses!!!!!!

If you judge Saints fans based on their posts on a message board, I would hate for this site to be barometer of how Patriot fans are. Speaking of Patriots fans, there was a couple on our bus ride to the game and on the way back were telling us how a Pats female fan grabbed the beads she was wearing during the 3rd quarter while feeling the need to make derogatory comments about family. Think of how she will go back home and talk about the actions of how Patriots fans act.

I've always read that the Saints fans travel well and sunday proved it to me. There was a large amount Saints fan tailgaiting and I especially loved the group that rented a party trolley for the way in. My wife and I were talking to a few on the walkback to the bus after the game and they were very gracious in defeat. I do wish I found the Saints fan who said it was a sign of things to come when I stumbled over a rope on the walk to the stadium

I haven't had a chance to watch the game yet, but will be curious to see how the crowd came across TV as they were very loud for most of the game.

I saw the party trolley. Looks like they were having fun, although when I saw them they were being turned around by the state police who guard the entrance to the club lots. Someone started singing, "When the Saints Go Marching Home." LOL, they looked momentarily confused...

That p'd me off. Don't do that to TB. TB no likey. ....Oh, and, don't show up wearing varsity jackets. TB no likey. :nono:
You don't have to make it quite so complicated: Wear opposing uniform, TFB no likey. . . .

I think the Patriots fans on this board are pretty good; they're mostly interested in Xs and Os. They're even better at the games, IMO. I've only had good experiences. Not like the old Foxboro Stadium which was a little rough. That being said, the only wackiness I've ever seen was in the No Alcohol section on the second level. The fans knew they were in No Alcohol so they no doubt got lubed before the game. Saw one guy really razzing some Ravens fans. Even kissed a Raven fan forcefully on the cheek in a mocking way. It was bizarre. The Raven fan was a skinny guy with a trucker's hat and a thin mustache, and the Patriots fan was big and burly. Bizarre.

I think your feelings are understood. Not sure I agree with them. We are not saying we didnt lose that game, the Patriots won. But I and others in our fan base need to do a better job policing ourselves online, and thinking before we post

Re: These refs have it out for us.
I dont think there is any doubt the ref calls cost us this game, but that is hardly the issue. Our offense needs to start up again, and stop making these games close. I mean we dont have the defense excuse anymore. Defense is playing ok for the 1st time ever.

We really pride ourselves on being a great team to play against at home, and we travel well to. We have a Fan writen code of conduct we ask for from the saints.
New Orleans Saints | Fan Code of Conduct

We need to do a better job online, myself included. That does not include affending some, and expressing our point of view, thats just a hard football discussion from opposing sides. But posting what I did above helps nothing, and im happy it got 0 likes.

As a fairly avid NFL bettor, one of the bigger "rules" is to avoid teams who play back to back games on the road, and the last 2 weeks we saw prime examples of that in the N.England related matches.

We were coming off back to back road games in the loss at CIN, and then were the benefit of N.O. coming off back to back road games as we hosted them last weekend.

Not saying that it's as simple as that of course, but as far as betting rules go, the back to back road games is probably a very important one to watch.

lol, even the old dance. Not sure what that is about, but even if we look kind of foolish, doesnt seem to bother us ??. I was with my bros wife, Dolphine fan, omg Dolphine fans hate you, cant believe how crazy she was. But thats just her.
Hehe be so great if I can get the kids and wife there. Cha shares my feelings of the Patriots.

I think we over reacted at 1st, because of the calls. Our boys did a great job on the road vs a great coach and QB.The defense did fine. In the end we messed up to much to win, and the Patriots played a great game. Last drive by Brady was epic. Really could have gone either way. Very happy for you and the Patriots fans. Its a great win.
Best to you PatsDeb and your family, all health and happenes.
Good luck to you to, I really think you have a great team this year, you guys can beat anyone. Better than most think.
form my family to you

I can understand why they might be upset with a few calls, but i've never seen a team's fanbase have so much hate after a non-conference game. If they want to hate the refs, fine, we hate the refs at times too. But what did the patriots do? They just showed up on the field and the calls went their way, just like the calls and non calls went the saints way in 2009 against the vikings (I firmly believe to this day the league wanted the saints to win in 2009 just because of katrina - it was a storybook ending for that city). I don't get why they would celebrate mayo's injury either - he's a player they won't see for another four years. And of course the moderators on the saints board won't scold their own fanbase for this, rather when I call them out for their low class behavior it's trolling.

They are sore losers...plain and simple.

Just like when we beat the jets this week they will complain about the refs

Dissenting opinions aren't allowed on saintsreport, you get banned pretty much immediately if you don't bow to the black and gold altar.

Ive been saying for 3 years here for fans not to go to SR. No one listens to me. Not sure why you are there Patssoxs.
They have a system of likes that can be drained if you dont completely idolize the the saints. I was a part of the site sence it started for about 12 years. Admins changed , everything changed and it was takin over by BW fans 3-4 years ago. Most of the old timers are on Black and Gold.
I really think other fans go there just to look for trouble, and looking for an argument or fodder. Unforuntaty those posters are just as bad as the ones posting inaccurate things on eachother fanbase.
