at the very end, everyone left in our section (about 25%) were like best friends hugging and laughing and howling.

"we are still here! and TFB just won the goddam game! and f%$# that snotty Saints b**** and her husband who talking trash for 15 mins and then left early all smug. where are they now! dont ever leave early! we are 5-1 whooooooooooooo! "

it was kinda like that. the stadium sounded like there was a game going on for a full 20 mins after the game and people were walking out. unreal experience

i got about 3 texts from different friends who left early too asking when we left...

at least my buddy who left the Leafs game 7 early apparently stayed til the bitter end. lesson learned!

Great story ! I admit I thought it was over after the Int by Brady, but it made the last drive all the sweeter....

It was unbelievable for those of us that stayed. Everyone was jumping up and down and just stayed in the stadium for a while just taking it in. I didn't want to leave. In the concourse everyone was highfiving, laughing and recounting just how incredible that was. It was probably the best game that I have been to.

For those that dont know my father has 6 seats in 134 and a buddy of ours actually had seats in the same section last night so there was 8 of us in all.

Right after the pick we decided it was over and started to leave. I waived down to some of the others and we all started walking out. we got split up a little and group of 4 was ahead of me and a grup of 3 was behind me but I decided I wasn't leaving the stadium until the Saints got a first down. As I was slowly walking the concourse watching on the monitors I caught up to the 4 ahead of me where My brother decided the same thing.

We were keeping an eye out for the other 3 but never found them.

The D held strong so we found some seats either in 129 or 130 (first time I have ever watched from a different section).

The offense went right down the field and when they scored we were going nuts I was in one row with two friends and my brother and father in the row right behind us. One of our friends was sporting the fear the beard so the first thing I did was give that thing a hard tug and then I turned to my brother and father to give them a hug only to find them on the ground as my brother inadvertantly tackled my father.

After taking it in for a few seconds we turned and headed out whooting and hollering.

I started yelling Lasaiz a les la bon tom rollet on my way out creole for let the good times roll.

We got to the car and found out that the other 3 (my older brother and in his in laws) did not stop and walked out and followed the last drive via crowd noise and smart phone updates.

We piled in the car and headed out of the parking lot. I lined up a few Saints fans on the way out with my Lasaiz a les la bon tom rollet chant. One guy had no clue what I was saying but another guy I got real good he got excited for a sec and thought I was a Saints fan and then realized I was taunting him but he took it well as he knew I got him.

Got back to the house turned on highlights, the sunday night game, and the Sox. The 8 slowly dwindled to just me and my father and in about the 6th inning I debated leaving my father house but again I did not leave and again the faith was rewarded. Epic night!

Amyone else have the feeling that this is going to be a magical year for the Pats and Sox?

Despite all the Pats injuries I am still optimistic.

I thought the crowd was great yesterday. The stadium seemed to be loud though the Saints didn't really have trouble making calls or getting the snap off. Don't know how it sounded on TV but in person, Gillette seemed to be rocking.

My brother was there. Consequently, I sort of hate him now.

I skipped going to the game yesterday because I was in Asia for a week and wanted to hang out with the kids. But I did watch it from home and never gave up hope (enough to turn off the TV)!

I don't understand leaving early at a game with TFB as QB. How are you ever supposed to witness and partake in celebrating, as you guys did in a fantastic comeback win if you leave

I know the chances are slim but chances are nil of ever witnessing a great finish if you leave. For the record I've never left a game early but have yet to witness a miraculous finish. If one ever happens at a game I attend I guarantee I'll be there.

Yup, amazing. The last time I screamed and jumped up and down hugging strangers like that was two years ago when Cundiff missed the chip-shot field goal in the AFCCG. :rocker::rocker::rocker:

I've never left a game early in 20 years as a season ticket holder. And I'll never understand why some people do. You devote a whole day and all that money to be there; leaving a few minutes early makes no sense regardless of the score.

The fans who stayed until the finish were the ones who were the most emotionally involved and the loudest at the stadium. The gods rewarded them for their diligence.

Those country club fans who left early weren't doing much of anything anyway. The game seemed so lethargic from those "fans." It finally came alive at the end and the stadium was at its loudest at its emptiest, which is fitting isn't it? I think that's poetic justice.

Defensing the Saints and the rookie WR's improvement causes me to think Denver's trip to N.E. might have a whole different look, and we will know the Sox's fate by then (2004)?

I was at the Ravens game in Baltimore in 2007. That was super fun, just screaming and yelling and hugging strangers. Yesterday's game was better though.

Well a good amount of the people that left are

Must have been leaving early to try to beat the rush to get back home to watch the team they haven't care about for the last 2-3 years.

Sounded really good on TV.

I thought of that game yesterday. That Ravens game was one of the most incredible finishes....

Speaking for myself and others on this board who turned their TVs off with the interception, I (perhaps we) were under the impression that the Saints could take 3 straight knees and the game was over. I was sure the Pats had at most one time out left... so in the game after comments where all contributing assumed we had lost, I thot that the one guy who said otherwise was JOKING with us. a SHOCKER indeed.

Yes, I always watch right till the end, except in the kneel situations. This was a first for me... to get this wrong somehow.

Which reminds me, BB's use of the clock was masterful, along with clutch defensive plays at the end.

We leave when the game is in hand not when the clock hits 00:00. And only once have I ever left a game that we wound up winning. The Vikings game 20 years ago.

Similar to last night we walked away from our seats for one other game but charged back when the improbable happened. It was one of the Tuna Bowl games.

I don't really blame people who got up after that pick to leave lets face it the game was over at that point. We usually dont leave a one score game until the other team is taking a knee but even we got up to head out and then as we were leaving realized we would have a minute if we forced a three and out so we didn't go.

The real funny part as I explained above is we got seperated and the group of three charged by my older brother had to make the call on their own. My father being as superstitious as he is and all of us being so invested in the Pats are very grumpy when we lose and my brother didnt want to show up with his friends 10 minutes late to the car with us all further pissed so he kept going to the car even though we stopped to watch.

...was my first pats game at Gillette (I'm from la). Was such an amazing experience...pretty much what others have said in the thread.

In my section (236) 60% left after the int. I saw the defense come up w the stop - which so many times it hasn't in recent past seasons. Once they punted the ball back to us with minute plus remaining, for some reason I just felt it. I took my hoodie off to reveal my #12 jersey and turned my hat backwards. I told my buddy lets get a bit closer to the action since so many empty seats

And just like that play after play we were all cheering harder than we had all night. Yelling out for collie on clutch catches...and the TD pass at the end was surreal. The 2nd foot was slow motion and everyone started going crazy. High fiving everyone around us. Big bear hugs to my buddy...such an awesome experience!!!

Can't wait for more
