I know the NO defense is not great

probably not but stats wise you need to rethink how we play.

I know its the norm to think our defense is pretty bad, but that has not been the case for the 1st time. Our defense is not as bad as you think,,, er maybe ,lol

Really sucks that our offense ****s the bed as soon as we get an elite defense. Either offense of last two years with this d probably goes 19-0.

youll work it out and get it fixed. The offense still has the best QB in the NFL, and coach. Im really liking this team more than most. Like the patriots of old. Win some lose some.

How are the at home compared to road..that is the key IMO

Hopefully, painful to watch the broncos and all their weapons.

historically our defense falls apart on the road, which perpetuated the myth that our offense did. Our offence has no problem in turf/road/snow/rain , its our defense that dies, and lost us 2 post seasons games. Look up 49ers and seahawks, the offensive points are there.

But we did win vs the Bears, which is huge, because I thought we would lose, but defence held.

How do you stop Jimmy Graham and the Saints next week?

By going out there and playin football for four quarters.

yeah bronos are really pretty on offense. Alot like us, kind of pissed us off that PM said they used some of our plays, but can PM, and that horrible defense win a SB without take aways?
Not vs you, and if they pass that, not vs Us, if we are lucky enough to be there.

moore over julio jones? Pass some of that MJ son

Same guy that said that David Thomas was as good as Hernandez.

um for #1 i was right about that in the end. Maybe not as good at shooting people.
for #2 im fine with you not getting it and moore making 3rd downs all day

If you poll all NFL fans and ask who's better/who would you rather have moore or jones...99.7% would say jones

Agreed. And if you were to ask NFL GMs, then it'd be even higher than that.

Most GM's havent field the best offence sence 2006, so who cares that they think about personel.

If you're referring to the recent interview all Manning really said was that he was very observant in noticing good offense around the league, and that he will take a play or two from New Orleans or New England from time to time if he thinks he can add something to it.

Basically, he probably just does what every other team in the NFL does considering that it's a copycat league and that NE and NO are 2 of the better offenses in the NFL lately.

On another note--I think your defense is much improved from past years so far, and that Rob Ryan has done a pretty good job through the first 5 games. I also think that the Saints will be all we can handle + more next Sunday in Foxborough.

The big test may come from playing 2 games in a row on the road, much like NE had to do this past week at ATL and then at CIN. In the NFL, that really can make a difference, and is really one of the bigger reasons why I even think that NE has a realistic chance this weekend. Other than that, I think they have to have very good gameplans vs Graham and Sproles, as we've consistently had problems vs other teams in regards to their TE/RB's.

If we can show improvement on offense (which shouldn't be hard measuring from today) and have a good gameplan vs Graham/Sproles that combines some pressure on Brees, then they'll have a shot. Otherwise, it may be a 10 pt NO victory. Your team is for real, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Lots of weapons...probably the clear cut second best offense in the league right now, ahead of GB and behind DEN.

Keep them off the field. Start by doing whatever it takes to improve interior pass protection, get Gronk and Ridley back, and hope the young WR's don't mess up their option routes in this one. When they are on the field, hope Mayo or Hightower are up to the task.

I think our run game would help...let's at least start there...be physical on the line. NO are gonna get their points, let's control the clock and give them less. I mean is it any simpler than that or am i missing something?

Why don't we bracket Graham like we did Gonzo on every play at the LOS with a LB and Gregory, seriously. Yes, it becomes 9 v 10 at that point but I trust Talib on an island with no safety vs. Colston.

Nobody is throwing on our outside CB duo (Talib/Dennard). It's time to take advantage of this and blitz more, or leave them on islands and take the TEs/RBs out of the game.

Brees is so accurate that if we do that he's going to beat Talib and Dennard a few times, he just will, but I don't really see any other option because we have to hit Graham at the line and we have to spy Sproles when he's in the game. This is a game where the offense needs to score 24+ points which is no disrespect to our improved defense but Brees and Payton carve up basically everyone they play. They might be the best team in the league after seeing Denvers defense play a good offense yesterday, it's sort of annoying that we play New Orleans once every 4 years and both in 2009 and now we have to play them when our offense is easier to shut down than usual and they are playing better than they've played in the history of their franchise.
